Diet for Femoral Fat?

This is my first post here.

Awesome progress, man.

What’s your current height and weight?
I’ve done it on a very healthy diet (no surgery or meds, whole grain, lean meats, etc.).
I’d estimate a Fat-Protein-carb distribution of about 20-60-20.
Going low fat and low carb actually isn’t ideal for burning fat and preserving muscle. It can basically “teach” your body to burn protein for fuel, which we don’t want to be doing. If you’ve been on this type of diet for a while, you might want to consider gradually tweaking it a bit, depending on how/if you’re training.

Speaking of which… have you been doing any exercise along the way? Cardio, weight training, anything? Building muscle is the only way you’ll actually get “in shape” and sculpt your body, instead of just becoming a smaller version of your current self.

Generally, yep, you can’t really spot-reduce. It’s just a matter of building lean muscle all over and burning off enough fat to end up showcasing your physique.

P.S. - Nice choice on your screen name. It worked.

From my understanding of Poliquin’s Biosignature, fat in this area is as a result of increases in xenoestrogens (not endogenous which the Femara has targeted)…

You should definitely look into cutting out all sources of xenoestrogens: lotions and creams containing parabens, BPA from canned food, filter your drinking water, organic meats.

Perhaps from a supplement perspective, try looking for some calcium d-glucarate, DIM, and sulforaphane. Try googling estrogen detox supplements and you’ll come up with some options

5’6" 180.
When I started, I was 332.8 (Yes, I know that at 332, you really don’t need to add the .8)

I’m actually relatively muscular. If those handheld body fat calculators work, then I’m at least 140lbs. lbm.

I suppose I’m mostly concerned that if/when I get the skin removed, I can get as much fat out of those places as possible first.

Perhaps I can elaborate as to why your xenoestrogens may be high:

Femara is an aromatase inhibitor. What this means is that aromatase, the enzyme responsible for converting testosterone to estrogen is inhibited. Thus the lab results you’ve posted make sense.

Xenoestrogens are an outside source of chemicals that still attach to estrogen receptors - Femara has no impact on these. Thus there is still some fat left in your hips - which are estrogen dependent sites. The removal of xenoestrogens is dependent on the liver and hence why I’ve suggested calcium d-glucarate, DIM, and sulforaphane, in order to clear these chemicals that Femara can’t address.

Nonetheless, congratulations on your incredible weight loss progress!

DIM, Calcium D Glucarate, Green Tea, and eating shit tons of broccoli have done wonders for hip/thigh fat (for me it has).
