I am leaving home for university this autumn. Seriously worried about how to keep my diet solid. I need to learn to eat well on a VERY tight budget and the meals have to be fairly easy to prepare. Any ideas for meal plans? And any essential supplements apart from whey? help would be appreciated!
Well since youre the first person to ever post on this site that is going to college it’s understandable that you didn’t use the search function
i bet you can’t even tell you lift weights unless you’re wearing a medium shirt.
cheers for the help
Fish oil, vitamins, whey protein is necessary. Fat free yogurt, peanut butter, eggs, egg whites, quick oats, potatoes (you can microwave them), rice. Do you have access to a kitchen? If so, top round steak, ground beef, and chicken if you want. I am at college and those foods are pretty much my staples. 2 days a week or so I cook all my food, then just heat it up when ready to eat. If you manage your time well, you should have no problem keeping a solid diet for building muscle. You must manage your time well.
Which uni?
Man, I’m in my 30’s, but every time you UK guys refer to “Uni”, I always think of this little guy.
Thanks ebomb. I will have basic cooking facilities but shared with others in my hall… bit worried about people stealing food that will need to be kept in the shared fridge! but I can keep all my supps in my room. Thanks again ill keep your list in mind mate.
And im hopefully going Bath to study architecture boffin… If i get the 3 A’s I need. Sport facilities there look incredible
Good luck, just hoping you might be thinking of Lancaster (we could do with more serious lifters here).
