You don’t see any problem with that statement?
No.

I’m not 210lbs and I never will be… I can not lift what a 210+ pounds person would consider respectable weight(not knowing what respectable weight even is sense that differs completely from person to person). Does that suddenly make me a random newb that has no right to use equipment when the “more capable” trainee approaches.
No, it does not make you a random newb.
However, let me put it like this. If I see Ronnie Coleman in the gym and as he walks towards me he says, “Hey buuuday, ain’t nuthin’ but a peanut but I need to work in on that machine”…I am going to either let him work in immediately or get the fuck off the machine.
But then, I actually have some concept of what it takes to even get bigger than average and don’t hold the opinion that everyone is a special snowflake and everyone everywhere deserves the exact same level of respect regardless of achievement.
I would not rush off the equipment for some guy weighing a buck fifty who can barely benchpress the bar.
My point is that not everyone is in the gym to get “swole”… I work out to improve my performance in the sports I participate in… In my opinion the fact that someone is “swole” does not give them superiority in the gym. I have no problem with someone working in… but they aren’t going to overtake what I’m using.
You always seem to only respect people that are huge… and if they aren’t huge they must not be working… There are more athletes/sports then bodybuilding. Clear out your tunnel vision…
And yes I understand sometimes or a lot of times there are people on equipment doing jack shit because they’re retarded etc… In a public gym they are allowed to be dumb. I know its annoying I’ve had to wait excess of 30 minutes myself for a piece of equipment but get over it… thats life. Everyone deserves a little bit of respect even if they’re 13 a 120 pounds barely pressing the bar and thinking they’re hot shit with their “bros.”
