Gym Calls Cops on Heavy Squatter

This story is a few years old, so hopefully not a re-post.

Damn straight the guy swore and yelled at the woman upon being confronted right after squatting 500!

A lunk alarm??? Seriously? I hope someone has hurled a DB at it by now. A prime example of blatant discrimination against the swole.

I swear, society as a whole is getting more and more pathetic by the day.

Fuck sigh

Pretty soon achievement is going to be seen as a bad thing.

inb4 “in he was using smith machine so he 500 squat means nothing”

he was using smith machine so he 500 squat means nothing

also his demonstrated range of motion was no where near parallel.

He should find a different place to work out where there are less bitches - (male and/or female) that complain. That’s life.

I don’t believe in god, but now I wish there were one to strike his fist into that gym.

I’m mega-small, and I know most people from small to big, when they get putting real effort into their workouts, grunt, shout, fart etc. Its a gym, nobody cares!

And no dropping weights? Sometimes you just HAVE to drop them ie your body says “fuck you, no more”

Incredible - anyways, he’ll probably end up finding a far better gym so its a blessing in disguise (a shit disguise at that)

Wait … the sound from that lunk alarm (if its the actual sound of the alarm) is FAR, FAR worse/irritating/louder than grunting, throwing weights around or even wanking loudly in the gym.

part of the application to work at a gym membership should involve some sort of basic fitness levels, barring any physical disabilities, but really that cunt should not be working there, she looks like an emotional eater

Haha! Perhaps that’s what the guy told her which led him to being thrown out.

Planet Fitness should have a “no breathing” rule put up there too.

That’s just ridiculous. He should have just walked out from under the 500lbs and let the shit slam nice and loud on the ground before leaving.

I’ve been to a PF once before and I too was asked to leave.

I was only bench pressing, but apparently my breathing was too loud for other members to bare. I mean, it’s hard to concentrate on your high rep kick backs when listening to U2 on your Ipod when someone 25’ away is breathing.

It says no grunting, but not no yelling. You just need to lean to yell “YEAH BUDDY” and “LIGHT WEIGHT BABY” instead of gurnting. Seriously though I don’t think I could stand that fucking place, and I would probably be kicked out as I walk in.

The thing that irritates the most to some gym (health care…) owners or receptionist it’s putting some chalk and spill em out in every fuc$%% machine, LOL.

Sometime ago I was warned for some “personal trainer” because I was making some “dangerous exercices”…BTW I was making some Bent presses… That’s why now i train in a pit-kind-local gym, sure they almost have weights, but at least I can train without being warned everytime cause I make some dangerous exercices -zerchers, jefferson, bent press, heavy deads, and so on…

It’s the idiocracy my friends.

Hahahaha, I love that movie. It’s true to the point of being scary.

This is an old story, but it’s always a goodie. We live in a society that

  1. It’s becoming stupider,
  2. It’s getting pussiefied.

Planet Fitness and its stupid ‘no grunt’ alarm policy are just another sign we are indeed becoming stupider and pussified.

We won’t survive the retardpocalypse. Chimps will inherit the world!!!

It’s about as old as this one

At this point, I am sure anyone who looks like they workout is avoiding that place like the plague. I would love to know how they are doing financially right now. People who aren’t very serious about lifting weights sure as hell won’t be buying too many memberships with the current economic situation.

Either way, that place shows how fucked we are becoming as a society. Anyone who truly thinks it’s great to claim “judgment free zones” while immediately judging anyone who trains seriously must be a real waste of human skin.

True. True. True and…True.

Pathetic!

Unfortunately that’s the future if not the present of most gyms in America.

They have identified the wrong culprit. The problem isn’t with the person that is intimidated by grunting it’s with the grunter. So what, my grunting intimidates you? Then your a pansy and you probably need to be intimidated. Maybe a little intimidation will motivate you to actualy lift a weight that might be challenging for you.

Even the news reporters thought it was rediculous. Who wants to go to the gym and feel like they are at the library.

I guess some maybe most people just have a gym membership to meake themselves feel better. They don’t even have to go to the gym but they have a membership. It’s like a social status thing. That’s the only explanation I can come up with for a pansy gym like that.

PF clubs, on average, operate at about $80-100K per month in membership dues.

This does not count over-the-counter stuff such as enrollment fees, personal training, pro-shop sales, or water/cooler drinks, or tanning products.

People need to stop hating on Planet Fitness. Honestly, when I considered myself a bodybuilder, if I walked into a gym without a squat rack, I would turn around and walk out. I wouldn’t begrudge the place the right to exist. All of you “hardcore” guys like to chime in on the internet about the “whiney pussies” at PF or similar gyms because their goals are not analogous to yours. For the most part, though, those people aren’t clogging up internet forums bitching about it. SO I think there is a certain irony to argument of whining, don’t you?

PF is a good business model, and honestly, they exist to specifically target/attract people who have never been a member of a gym before. They offer a good rate, therefore people who are inexperienced are more likely to give it a go.

If you are hardcore, PF shouldn’t concern you. Let them do their thing. Stop whining about it like a bunch of fucking babies. Who gives a shit?
