Hi Guys, well today I have been diagnosed as having arthritis in my hips. I have to see a specialist to discuss things further but first thing that comes to mind is how my training will be affected. Have been training on and off for nearly 20 years now and just dont wanna stop. I know its quite a common disease so there must be lifters on this site who train through it. I am 37 years old, 6’2" and weigh 240lbs.
Any help would be appreciated
How has it affected your training recently? Are we assuming you have had pain, been through a lot of Advil and Tylenol and finally got it checked out?
Am awaiting results as was tested for Celiacs Disease at same time. Arthritis is a common side effect of Celiacs. I limp when I walk and basically just try and train through it. Think I have to be more careful and do moe stretching and flexibility work. Trying to read up an devise best way to change lifestyle to acclimatise to the disease.
U sure it’s celiac disease and not Corhn’s disease or ulcerative colitis?
Listen to BushidoBadBoy, hes the freaken man when it comes to med.
BBB, I will know the results as to which arthritis I have and to my blood tests within a week. Am I ok to PM you with the results? I sincerely appreciate your time and knowledge!
