Are any of you supplementing with DHEA? How are you regulating your doses?
DHEA is largely considered a flop, at least for fitness/bodybuilding goals.
I can’t tell you the exact reasons why, but DHEA is not a good idea. If you type it into the Testosterone search engine, you can find a really cool article (I can’t remember what it’s called) that will put DHEA, all the andros, and similar supplements in perspective with one another. I read somewhere on this site that using DHEA would get you about the same results as estrogen-laced Kool Aid.
My understanding of DHEA is that, while it’s only two steps away from T, it’s also two steps from E. So it’s basically a crap shoot which you’ll get. Stacking this with some anti-E agent might work, but that’s a question better left to more knowledgeable minds.
DHEA does have benefits for those with chronic adrenal suppression and other conditions. Although it’s not so great for boosting T-levels if you’re deficient in it than taking it in supplemental form will boost your metabolism, mood, health and many other vital functions.
