Ah dig the numbers! What HRM do you have? I’ve been shopping but have yet to pull the trigger.
I have a Polar FT4. It is a pretty basic entry level HRM, but it does the trick for me.
Ah, I looked at that one. All I need is the stats you just listed and a little beep when it gets going too fast. I have a tendency to yack when my heart rate gets too high.lol
n - you don’t know what you’re missing! Blizzards and -30 temperatures here we come. Not all the time, but they do make things interesting.
I worked up a good sweat pushing more snow around after karate last night. Its going to be a chilly week (woke up to -25 C this morning) but it looks like it might warm up a bit for the Grey Cup here.
I hate the beginning of winter, but once we get in to it and I can start doing the winter activites outside I don’t mind it too much. Time to start pulling out the snowshoes, skis, snowboard and skates.
I’m looking forward to my winter tires on Satruday - grippy grippy!

Shoveling in the snow while shivering sounds like great cardio. Probably #3 on Best Cardio List, after dodgeball and ultimate.
Winter tires? Are you going to do tire flipping?
Wow, can you imagine flipping tires in the snow? Crap.
I didn’t shiver too much - once moving I was quite comfortable actually! I’ve got good cold weather gear. I’ve been out snowkiting on a -25 C (-13 F) day with 30km/h (18 mph) winds and have been quite toasty. Call me crazy!
Winter tires are just a softer tire for gripping the cold/icy/snowy roads - makes my life much easier and a bit safer.
Tire flipping in the snow would be hardcore! But my car tires aren’t really big enough for that. Though, when my spring/summer tires wear out (probably next year) I’m keeping one to drag around.

Heck yea! Sprint with that sucker. I love pulling and pushing heavy weight; that’s the best thigh burner.
There’s a lot of construction going on in my city, I’ll probably steal one of the tractor’s tires… I wonder if they’ll notice haha
And I’m going to use this to once again shamelessly showcase my dodgeball team.
…plus I don’t have much else to post right now.
Cool. How’d you get into it? How long have you been doing it? What did you think of the movie “dodge ball”?
Uh, I ask a lot of questions. Most people answer about 30% of them.
Haha, well, I’ll try to answer 100%.
I got into it through my boyfriend. He started playing about 5 years ago and I was invited out by one of his teammates who rented a gym for her birthday. Being athletic (and a former discus thrower) I picked it up pretty quick and started playing in 2006. This is my first year not playing full time because of my injured knee. I’m going to be back with my Wednesday team in January for the Winter season.
My bf now works for the club that runs the dodgeball league, so we are very involved in everything dodgeball.
I always get a kick out of the movie, but my biggest beef was how inept the players seem at times. If they played like that in real life they would get crushed. But I get that it is a comedy, so it passes in my book. I honestly think that the movie is the reason I’m playing now.

I decided to add a couple of heavier singles at the end, though they were rough after repping out at 105.
The 125 went up easier than the last time I tried though.

Tonight my bf and I are celebrating a bit of a milestone - 10 years together today. Crazy how time flies! We’re going out for a steak dinner. mmmmm steak!
You ladies and your beautiful pictures inspired me to get out my own camera and take advantage of the self timer. I made him a nice little book full of pretty pictures. Should be a fun night!
