Just got back from the shops… my supplement plan for the next few weeks at least:
1 multivitamin/mineral (in morning)
1 B complex (in morning)
300 mg Q10 (over 2-5 doses?)
4000 IU Vitamin D (over 2-4 doses?)
4000 mg Vitamin C (over 2-4 doses?)
10 fish oil caps (whenever)
Thank you BBB/Giter!
Will be making an effort to try and schedule 9 hours of bed time a night (thats spending 9 hours in my bed… probably 8.5 hours or so of actual sleep).
I have just bought a big 5 litre bottle of spring water. I will be trying to get through this sucker in a day. I’ll fill this up and repeat for another 2-3 days before replacing to avoid any issues with toxins and the such.
Although I need more FRESH vegetables - Ive taken a small step and purchased some frozen veg today… mixture of brocolli/cauliflower/peas/carrots. Also some apples and clementine oranges are sitting in the fridge.
This week ill be scheduling in a few walks too… hopefully by the end of the week I shall be feeling a hell of a lot healthier and be starting on my way towards returning to lifing.
Thank you also to everyone who has replied to this thread… you have all had a signifigant impact on my plan to sort myself… everything from the workout/nutrition suggestions to ideas on getting my drive fired up again (infact I think Ill load up Strong shortly!).
I’ll keep you all updated providing things start to pick up!
I don’t know if it has been already suggested but i’ll suggest it anyway.
first get a mirror, a big one, then take your shirt off and withoug sucking in your gut stare at your reflect, do it for 5 minutes, you will realize of something horrible, but that will be the same thing that will motivate you and will drive youuntil you reach your goal.
then take a few pics and save them, you can even start a log on T-Nation and track your progress and in 2-3 months you’ll be happy when you look at those pics again. (print those pics and put tham in your room, that way you will never lose motivation)
Pick a prgram where you use heavy weights )supossing you alrready know how to perform exercises correctly and you’re not currently injured).
You’ll do it man, just put some effort in it (i’ve already lost about 49pounds and lots of inches on my waist, it’s not that difficult, you just need to learn some basic, specially with diet.
These vitamins have made my urine almost glow in the dark!
Also… 5 litres of water a day is harder then I thought!

that’s most likely the excess B vitamins since they are water soluble

I tried stronglifts 5x5 when I got to uni in an attempt to get back into things… just made me ill and I made no strength gains at all… just got weaker, fatter and less mobile despite stretching my ass off. You know its bad when 5x5 with 60kg cripples your form!
Obviously your nutrition was shit, and probably your intensity in the weightroom, if you got weaker and fatter using ANY training program. That doesn’t make any sense.
Really? You can’t envisage a scenario where illness (whether it be primarily physical or have a strong psychological component too) could make someone smaller and weaker?
Obviously poor nutrition can play a big role, but hormonal status and/or a condition like chronic fatigue syndrome/glandular fever can wreak absolute havoc on strength (via the CNS as well as via muscle atrophy) and fat gain or body comp.
Life is not as simple as ‘eat right and train and everything will be A OK’. Sure, these things should be a main foundation to work off, but they by no means tell the whole story.
That’s my opinion.
Oh and NAC (for he who asked) stands for N-acetyl-cystine; a supplement that gets converted into the bodys’ main antioxidant (glutathione). Glutathione has been shown to be massively depleted in many patients with CFS/glandular fever.

How long can it be depleted for?

I saw that movie, and I have to say – it’s a must see for anyone going through depression. Get on it OP!
