Yeah it’s ok. I appreciate your observations. I have been slipping up lately. I end up compensating by eating less later in the day.

hhmm interesting . . I read somewhere before that their chicken had a huge amount of soy filler and was only like 50% actual chicken . . I may have read wrong but haven’t been back since lol

Nah, still more 2% stuff. Granted, the mayo it’s mixed in is a seed oil horror show, but that’s pretty standard.

@ajb5478 Most likely just some media sensationalism, however you DID get me checking out the nutrition info and finding out that pretty much nothing there is what I’d consider “clean”, haha. I always figured the chicken breasts and egg whites would be ok, but they just mix EVERYTHING on the menu with some form of sugar and seed oil, which, when combined with salt (which is there) form the evil trinity of junk food. Surefire recipe for hyper palatability.

Which, when you think about it, probably explains WHY we can sit down and eat an entire loaf of bread with a bunch of meat and cheese squished inside of it and STILL be hungry when it’s over. Subway hoodwinked us in the 90s pretending to be healthy by just going by grams of fat. We’re all such chumps, haha. But I did at least get one over on them back in my gaining days by ordering the meatball sub with double meat. THAT thing was packed.

Isn’t the bread subway makes overseas actually considered cake by US standards for the amount of sugar used?
I know this is/was the case in Ireland I believe.

vitamin D moved to morning. After watching a pharmacist’s insta video. It is a bit of a BB pick me up and should be used in the morning.

Ashwaganda ran out. Will stop this for a while , as advised by instructions. It seems to help me sleep better.

I will try taking the zinc a few hours before the magnesium so they don’t compete for absorption.

I have training this week (today)involving a lot of walking so I skipped the heavy lower body workout yesterday.
Plus my legs were knackered all last week . In part due to the failed 290kg and 2 reps on 240 kg but mostly the one arm deadlifts I suspect.

I’m looking to transition to more bw type movements that I can do at home.

Weighted pushups, dips, chinups. I might be able to use a tension chin up bar in a doorframe and eventually a vest too. it supports up to 400lb.

Your poor choices over the last few days are catching up to you.
This needs to be a lifestyle change for you. You seem to drop a few lbs and then your diet falls apart.
Time to reexamine what you are doing.
When you lose a few lbs weight it’s not time for reward. When you lose 50lbs, then comes reward.
You started this log in 2017 and it’s been the same story.
We are all hear cheering for you and backing you up.
How are you going to reach your goals???

I am going to start calorie counting and planning meals.Also weighing food. Stop eating with my wife too. She has improved a bit. She wants to join slimming world online.

Fish rice and vegetables tonight for example.

Frozen cherries should satisfy my sweet tooth.

Training will become more structured too with slightly higher reps for some exercises 5-10 range.

I think it would be wise to also pre plan/make your foods. Your leaving a lot on the table by eating from the vending machine.
Spend 2 hour on Sunday prepping all your lunches and food for Mums. When you are prepared you are way more likley to stick to your plan.

I’d be willing to believe it. It’s ridiculous how much sugar gets sneaked into foods. To say nothing of the 200 different words we have FOR sugar. “Contains no sugar”, and then it’ll have dextrose or maltodextrin or something else like that in it, haha.

Concur in whole. Layne Norton has a great quote: “Don’t reward yourself with food: you aren’t a dog”. And same with the lifestyle change. Once that happens, the results just happen. Hell, in my own log, I accidentally lost too much weight because I haven’t been consciously focusing on eating enough. I’ve changed up my lifestyle enough that I naturally gravitate toward leanness. It’s worth making those changes for those results.

Way too much calories from fruit here.
You need to focus on protien. Do you know how much your eating daily? Seems the carbs are taking over your diet again.

To be honest no. I ballpark 2500-3000 cal.
If I eat something bad. I trade off a bit.

How much fruit is appropriate?

Often I aim for 2500 but end up eating more.

been ill last few days stomach bugs .
sorbitol in Dr. pepper probably didn’t help.

did COVID test was clear.

Gained a bit of weight. Will have to reign it in .
