Decimation Food Log

Fully agree. “Decision fatigue”. When you only have good choices available, you’ll only make good choices.

Yep, worst thing we have in the house is peanut/almond butter and jam. All meals are planned and/or prepped ahead so there is no thinking involved.

Every day can’t be great. Just gotta listen to your body and roll with it. Make sure your getting your food in and recovery is good.

I remember you saying you were going to stop buying/eating these a little while back.

Yeah I don’t eat as many. But they have creeping in a little. I will have to watch it.

On a more positive note. I bought 5 kg of chicken fillets in farm foods yesterday and some more eggs.

This is really not that high in protien for the cals. It’s less that a third of the cals.
This should never be in your diet. You know what has been working over the last few weeks. Stick to those things. Keep you food choices minimal right now until better habits are formed.

I will knuckle down. I cannot rely on the works vending machine anymore.

I got my hb1ac test back 39 n/ mol
or 5.7. Top end of normal range for normal people.

This should never even be a consideration. You would be much better served prepping food or even just making a nice big turkey sandwich with mustard.

This is great that you are in the normal range still. Where was you last test at?

Been saying this for quite a while here.

You present some interesting thoughts. You said earlier that steak was too expensive to eat all the time, but the money you’re spending on supplements and vending machine food is WAY more than the cost of steak. I wouldn’t be able to reconcile that personally. I bring my food to work BECAUSE it’s so less expensive than eating out or the vending machine. I save a LOT of money that way. Even convenient home food is cheaper. A can of chicken breast or fish is so less expensive in a calorie/protein per dollar sense than anything I can order out.
