Decent Gym in Albany

I’m going to be in Albany today and tomorrow. Can anyone recommend a decent gym that has a GHR? Thanks in advance.

I think Don Alessi is up ther. He use to contribute here. Check it out.

Albany Strength, GHR and reverse hyper, on Central Ave between Quail and Ontario streets, 5 bucks to train.
check it out at albanystrength.com

Worked out at Albany Strength on Wednesday night. Wow, what a great place to train. I’d give my left nut to find a gym like that in NYC. No-nonsense, plenty of power/squat racks, tons of chains/bands/different bars, and dumbells up to 200 pounds. I’m back in NYC and missing Albany Strength after one workout.

That’s good to know about Albany Strength.

When I’m passing through, I always wind up at Arizona Fitness (was Fitness factory) on Wolf Road just a couple blocks north of the Colonie Mall. It’s an easy on-and-off from the Thruway.

Albany strength is a great gym. If you are looking for a gym with bumper plates by any chance for OL, then go to ABC sports and fitness in Latham, 6 Johnson Road, plus they are open 24-7.

Do any of you guys live in Albany?

No longer…out in Rochester now.

Also in Rochester; I pass through Albany several times a year on my way to CT.

I work in Albany and live about 30 minutes south. They have great equipment, the owners train and compete in power lifting, they hold powerlifting meets in the gym and this summer will be promoting their second strongman competition. It is also pretty routine to see guys training squats, bench and deads with 4, 5, and 6 plates a side. Hands down the best gym I’ve ever belonged to.
