Smaller or bigger? You better keep your strength!
lol. smaller. I’m actually considering trying to do some damage at 181.
What are you now? I am hovering between 185-190 lbs…
He’s probably around the same as me hovering around 200. I can’t believe he’s going down to 181 though. I don’t think I could bring myself to do that.
I did it. I went from 208 to 182 couple years back. Of course, a lot had to do with my back breaking down and I decided I did not need to carry so much weight. Also, it started to compromise my lifting, so if I could not lift to maintain a muscular 208 I shouldn’t way 208… It was a pain in the ass. I did keep most of my strength in that process. I cut out DLs, and moved to single leg squats because I could no longer load my back; which was a big factor in my size at the time.
From aesthetics I look better at 185 than I did at 208.
That’s when I discovered that if you are big, show off your muscles, because if you don’t, you just look fat to a lot of people.
Had to make the same decision Pat, went from 240 down to 205 due to my back. I do not want to go through the surgeries you went through. I am okay if I never get the big DL and Squat again, I would much rather my dick work.
For the record, my dick works…well.
Well I was screwed with my back, in the end I had no choice. I could only choose between having 1 surgery or 2. The complication I am having now was unforeseen. Dropping weight did not help me. I had bone spurs and bulging discs pinching the nerve. There’s only one way to fix that, unfortunately.
Stave it off as long as you can, of course. There is a caveat though, trying to gut through it to long could result in permanent nerve damage and you end up with shit like drop-foot. So know when to say when. My mom tried to gut through it and it ended up screwing up her hip so badly she had to get that fixed before her back.
Avoid the surgery if you can, don’t go so long you risk other problems. That’s all I am saying.
