Death Metal

I only listend to death metal or thrash in high school. I became more open to all types of music when I got out of school but I still listen to death metal when lifting.

I am really in to Acid Bath/Dax Riggs now.

Not death metal but I started listening to Pig Destoryer again. They f’n crazy.

Morbid Tales

Yeah, they’re incredible, like the bastard child of Incantation and Gorguts who’s been drinking too much absinthe whilst reading Lovecraft. Hah, The Curator wouldn’t be impressed by anyone mocking his hat. Here’s a couple of vids from their last live gig:

Oh, I agree I have Seepia, pure godly music.

Sorry, I couldn’t help myself since that is a great picture taken out of context.

I hadn’t seen the video before. Holy shit, you know it’s going to be bad, but you just can’t prepare yourself. Isn’t there supposed to be a keyboard player in there somewhere, or has that gimmick been killed off already? Even the song title is stupid.

From what I’ve heard about Coretopsy, the cum dumpster was kicked out of the band before their first live show with this line-up.

Krisiun - Hateful Nature (awesome)

and Ageless Venemous by them live… insane.

Cephalic Carnage - Endless Cycle of Violence

And yes, I’m going to slip this one in here, too.

I know I’m coming a little late to the party, and sorry if this off-tracks the thread a bit . . .

For the longest time, the only In Flames album I had was Whoracle. Then, Demonoid came back, now I have the whole discogrophy. My question is this: what happened at/after Reroute to Remain? I swear there was more singing in any one track than there had been in ANY of there more aged albums.

Now, I’m not knocking the group, I still LIKE Reroute, but it doesn’t seem like it’s in the same genre.

In Flames has really gone Metalcore with the last few albums. Especially Come Clarity and A Sense of Purpose. I don’t think Jesper and Anders are going to go back to the Jester Race sound, sadly. Although I will admit to liking some of their metalcore stuff.

General Surgery - Ominous Lamentation

Morpheus Descends - The Way Of All Flesh

Ripping Corpse - Seduction of the Innocent

Pestilence - Impure/Testimony

Asphyx - Evocation

Incantation - Dying Divinity

The only good albums In Flames ever wrote was Whoracle and the Jester Race, the rest is shit.

Haha, I wanted to tack that picture onto my post but couldn’t find it! Very apt, considering all their song-writing energy seems to have been channelled into manufacturing a new image.

It’s not, really. Melodic Death Metal isn’t Death Metal and is barely even Metal. In Flames and their Melodic lol I find belongs more to the fight-dancing Nu-Hardcore scene.

Deeds of Flesh- Crown of Souls

Dies Irae - Beyond All Dimensions

Dissection- No Dreams Breed in Breathless Sleep

Morbid Angel - God Of Emptiness

Deicide - Lunatic of God’s Creation

Vader - Reborn In Flames

Death - A Moment Of Clarity

Pestilence - Mindwarp/Stigmatized/In Sorrow

Bloodbath - Cry My Name

Cynic - How Could I

Cannibal Corpse - Beyond The Cemetary

Demilich - When the Sun Drank the Weight of the Water

Angelcorpse - Antichrist Vangaurd

…and I’ll end on a gay note…

Necrophagist -Fermented Offal Discharge (the solo is just that epic)

I think that’s a bit harsh, anything after Colony is that ghey scene core whatever the hell that is, I’m not a Gothenghey fan, but their first 4 albums aren’t too shabby.

Voice of the Soul - Death

Anyone remember an old death metal band called Mutilage? They were early 90s. I can’t find anything on youtube, but they have a myspace page.

This sure does bring back memories.

F yea, detazathoth, we could be buddies!

here’s a couple I’ve been listening to at work lately

Torture Killer - A Violent Scene Of Death

Torture Killer - Cannibal Gluttony

Excellent song, with great technical bass-drumming.

A couple from one of my favorites

Malevolent Creation - Eve Of The Apocalypse

MC - In Cold Blood live

I was cranking this one in the car today, it never gets old. One of the BEST ever.

Hail Brujeria!

Anyone remember Cancer?

Napalm Death - Silence Is Deafening

Skinless - OVER-FUCKING-LORD

Gorefest - For the Masses

Gorefest - Exorcism

I don’t know (or care) if it’s dm at all but it kicks ass. Sounds very massive and I’d say there’s more T than with an average, typical dm band.

Necrobump!

Anyone listen to Bloodbath?
