Death Metal v2

So much win!!!

D’oh!!! someone already beat me to this.

Starts at 0:34

not death metal but been LSS on this song

New Jungle Rot. Sick!

Another new Morbid Angel track.

What. The. Fuck.

Talk about a fall from grace, this is just terrible. How could something like this come from the mighty Morbid Angel?

New morbid angel album is a complete embarassment. Everything from the lyrics to the really bad electro/industrial stuff…

Funny: Nader Sadek (egyptian dude) recruited flo mounier and the ex morbid angel vocalist (I think, sounds the same as on domination anyway) etc and made an album that sounds more like morbid angel than the new MA.

It’s not perfect at all, but it has plenty of definite MA moments:

- YouTube ← one of my favs. Not max quality unfortunately. Still, set it to 480.

- YouTube ← Anyone else miss the vox effect from MA’s “Where the slime live” ? Well, here it is again.

If nader sadek keeps on making new albums and if he can keep the line-up together, then his project could literally become the new MA and perhaps surpass MA’s old stuff too…

Some improvements in the mixing/production (though it’s not bad or anything), a bit more varied song-writing and some added complexity…

Not DM, but: New Marduk EP put me to sleep.

Also: New Origin song has been online for a while.

- YouTube ← More low end in the mix. Youtube audio quality is probably compressed to all hell though, so hopefully the final sound will be better (seems like it, watch the studio vid on the drums).

Don’t like the song though. Bland as hell. Hope they have their share of “Finite”'s, “Aftermath”'s, “Wrath of Vishnu”'s and “Antithesis”'s in the new album. Hopefully with more interesting song structures or more intricacies in the guitar parts and a more audible bass guitar.

And hopefully Longstreth’s drums own’t sound like utter shit again.

Yeah, right, like that’s gonna happen. I suppose Origin are afraid of becoming too good, hence the filler crap and shitty sound in their albums?

Hah, I’m pretty sure I said as much a couple of pages back. With every piece of information that was released about the album in the last few months my expectations got lower and lower. Thing is, even with my greatly diminished expectations, what was eventually released ended up being so much worse than I ever imagined. I thought the preview songs sucked, and they’re the fucking best ones on the album!

If you want a real laugh, read this Season of Mist hype-up:

Either these guys are being paid to lie, or they’ve lost their fucking minds. Like, if they think this shit is good, how fucking bad does something have to be for them to not like it!? Haha!

Anyway, I know it’s not death metal, but I’m listening to this song now. Amazing track, great for all occasions: lifting weights, drinking alone in the dark, children’s birthday parties, whatever…

Well I for one like the new Morbid Angel album, except the mentioned Too Extreme, Destructos Vs the Earth and I’m not to keen on the last song Profundis-mea culpa (I don’t count the intro instrumental as a song).
I thought I’d hate Radikult but after a few beers it really grew on me.
Then again I like a wide range of music without pretending I’m some fucking musical expert.
Oh and I have never given a shit about lyrics, I’m more interested in how the vocals sound than the words, but that’s just me.
Maybe people just need to listen to things with a glass half full attitude.
The internet seems to be a perfect place for mass hysteria imo.
Want some more traditional death metal listen to Hate Eternals new album or Immolations Majesty and Decay or some older Morbid Angel.
Good on Morbid Angel for trying something different, will be interesting to see what their next album will be like.
So do I? And I still dislike MA’s last 2 albums.

MA have had better vocals before. I normally don’t care about the lyrics either (unless they are actually good), but considering that it’s quite easy to understand them in this one it’s difficult for me to ignore them completely. And they are painfully stupid (again: That’s fine if I can’t decipher what he’s growling about. But I can.). And it’s not like the rest of the music outshines the lyrics in any way either.
Mass hysteria… Sure… But hardly in this thread.
I’m all for bands developing from album to album. In this case, I find the development to be unnecessarily bad. Lazy and boring song writing. Production. Lyrics. Riffs. Drumming (the guy is cool and all, but…).

Wasted potential.

My opinion has nothing to do with wanting more traditional DM. Most old-school stuff puts me to sleep.

I like music if it’s done well, almost regardless of Genre.
I can even be pretty damn forgiving as long as a particular aspect of a given song appeals to me.
But in this case, I just can’t find anything like-able about the album. I’m no disappointed fan either or anything. I liked some of MA’s stuff and that’s it.

I can deal just fine with electro, too. But MA simply put electro in there, and that’s it. It feels like they cobbled the whole thing together in a week-end and then purposefully made it as boring as they could.

Kind of hoping that Trey just meant it all as a joke in order to lower our expectations and then surprise us with the REAL album.

Agree with all of this except lyrics. Lyrics matter to me, and to hear this juvenile crap coming from someone who back in the day was arguably the best lyricist in the genre is almost insulting.

I just can’t get over the fact that a bunch of grown-ass men spent YEARS working on this album, and this is what they come up with. After this, I’ll never look forward to another ‘comeback’ album ever again.

Im quite enjoying the new Hate eternal and Autopsy, but for the time being, i cant stop listening to satans host! A Strange but awesome black/death mix with Harry the tyrant from Jag Panzer fame, on vocals!
