Death Metal v2

Who wouldn’t like Municipal Waste?! I remember I went to a show in Detroit a few years back with Lamb of God and Children of Bodom as the headliners and As I Lay Dying also (I know, I know… I was hoping they’d both play their older stuff. I was wrong.) and Municipal Waste got penciled in last minute before Toxic Holocaust.

Initially I was really pissed about that because TH kicks major ass but then Municipal Waste came on after God Forbid. Holy fuck they were terrible. Anyway, I laughed my ass off because when they came on they basically made fun of the entire crowd and band lineup I think without them knowing. Their opening line was “Awww yeah Detroit. How about all these break-downs, huh!?” or something to that effect.

And then, obviously, they slayed the stage. Best band there - and me and my buddies were the only ones who knew it. I can’t remember ever feeling so anally violated (front row) or outnumbered by emo kids before, haha.[/quote]

The haters that think MW is too trendy to listen to. I was wearing my MW shirt a couple months ago at the grocery and this kid stopped me to tell me about when he saw MW, and how much ass it kicked. I would LOVE to see them live.

Well, the death metal in this thread is starting to play second fiddle to other genres, so here’s me trying to play balancing act. Not that some BM and other stuff is bad, but let’s not forget the title of the thread.

- YouTube (Hope I didn’t already post.)

I like early Legion of Doom, but am in no way fond of their racial ideology.

New Anaal Nathrakh album is coming out… not sure how I feel about it, based on the three youtube tracks.

Needs more human pain and suffering.

No love for the new Morbid Angel?

Anyway, the new Crowbar slays. Pick this up ASAP.

I’ve listened to this track at least a dozen times since it was leaked and have finally come to the conclusion that I hate it. It’s dull, directionless horseshit and far below the abilities of such a legendary band. Considering some of the dodgy song titles on the new album, I doubt the rest of it will be much better. Damn shame.

Lot of surprises in here, and no it’s not the short guitar solo. Brutal death metal.

And another… a little repetitive but I love the groove.

Last one. More brutal death.

Slayer-esque riff @ 2:27 is fucking epic.

Sooo tempted to post every Suffocation song ever made, but everyone probably has them already, but these are a couple of goodies, the opening riff to funeral inception has to be the meatiest shit I’ve ever heard!

New Autopsy

Watch about halfway through, when he starts naming off some of the CD’s he bought, they’re are pretty much all awesome, heavy and quite unknown (to me at least).
