Deadlift Max vs. Bodyweight

I cant say what my max is because I have not tried it, but I recently, a month and a half ago did 405 for six reps at a bodyweight of 203 lbs.

65 deadlifters
Average deadlift: 457.9
Average BW: 196.0

Shannon Parrish 400@114
Shay Larrisey 585@175

a deadlift bar is a thinner bar and it flexes. It allows you to develop speed from the initial explosion, the bar will flex upwards before the weight comes off the floor. I use an Okie dl bar and a Titan dual quad altered correctly can add over 100 pounds to your pull! Keep in mind, a suit will help to get the weight off the floor, at about your knee’s the suit is done, but that’s where your band strength kicks in for the lock out.

Max was 170 in January.

855 at 110 lbs! Okay, that’s stretching the truth a bit.

A few months ago 435 @ 175 with belt & straps.

Without straps I couldn’t get 405 off the ground :frowning:

Needless to say, I’m working on my grip…

my best at my gym was 600 lbs at 220 pounds bodweight.

385 @ 195 lbs. This was several months ago, I might be able to pull 405 now, but I don’t know.

1st time ever deadlifting done a few months (like 3) ago, 210 at a bodyweight of 142 and height of 5’8" for I think it was 5 reps. Haven’t deadlifted since because of an injury though. WEEEEE! I need more plates when I’m better… It be a pitiful number.

425 @ 190. No straps, no belt.

This is after herniating a disc in my back 14 months ago and I started training DL’s in June after the ol’ back was “better”. I gotta be careful now!!!

Hi guys, I’m new to T-Mag. I’m enjoying the informative articles.

Your average high school joe lifter: 17 years old, 5’7 130 lbs. My estimate 1rm is around 280 lbs. according to 1rep max calc (245 lbs. for 5 reps). It will go up  My goal to pull a bit over 400 lbs. hehe.

Last November: 420 @ 210lbs, straps only
