Deadlift Max vs. Bodyweight

A couple of years ago I pulled 205 raw at a bodyweight of 112 lbs at age 56. Not too bad for this aging female boomer. I had knee surgery 6 months ago, so I’m currently working my way back up. I plan on competing a couple of times this year, probably in push-pulls. (I’ll leave the max squats for another year.)

Last max attempt 405 @ 160

665 at 220lbs

425 @ 192

I bulked and never did a max dead since, but i am now 211, so who knows.

555lb at 178 raw

In my first PL meet (october 2004) I pulled:

555 pounds @ 197 pounds Bodyweight.

I competed RAW, so that is a competition form raw lift.

I have attached a picture of it. This is in process, not locked out.

With straps or without?

Last real deadlift test was 325 x 10 with straps at a strongman contest. Max dead sans straps probably won’t be checked for a while.

Whichever. I used to put on straps for my last attempt after failing without, but since I had to stay in the down position to get them on, I was better off using a faster descent and trying to get it up faster. Also, is 325x 10 good for a beginner strongman contest? I got 335 x 9 in highschool and my max was only 385 both with straps, and I’m soldly below average among the lifters whove posted here.
