I fell on my butt/back while skating mid-July, and it hurt to walk and sit, and anything other than lie down for days after that. Since then, I can still feel it sometimes when walking, though it’s pretty damn rare.
I’m tired of waiting, because it doesn’t seem like it will ever get better. Are there any things I could like, do instead of deadlifts and squats to train the same muscles? I’m just afraid of hurting my tail bone again.
Like the two posters above me have already said: Goodmornings are probably the best alternative to deadlifts, and you should have had your injured area medically examined.
Other options are partial deadlifts/rack pulls and cleans from the hang position, or explosive shrugs from the hang position. Personally, I think full deadlifts are an exercise many people can get by just fine without performing too often. It’s entirely possible to improve your deadlifting power without actually performing deadlifts.
