Looking to stock the home with a dead ball (or two) for throwing/slamming.
I’m most interested in the damage I might cause (to what I’m throwing onto and the ball).
What sort of weight ball do home gymers have and where is it used?

I’d check out Rogue Fitness, they make quality equipment. They’ve got great customer service too if you have problems.
My old gym had a 40 pounder so that’s all I had and made due. Felt a bit too heavy and I made sure to warm up well before using it. It was probably too heavy to begin with but again it is all I had… When I moved into my home gym I made a slam-ball out of an old basketball. I was able to get it full of sand by pushing out the fill hole and using a funnel and playground sand. At 22 lbs it feels “right”.
Prices are coming down on this type of equipment so if you don’t want to make one maybe try this. http://www.walmart.com/...m-Ball/40138208 Note; I have never used this one and don’t know the durability. As far as damage, I slam on horse stall mats with concrete underneath and a concrete wall. No damage to anything.
Brilliant, thanks Thork - everything I wanted to know.
