Dchris's Grappling with Age

Woke up at 205 today! Down 25lbs now.

I have about 4 hours of baseball today. So, I’ll take it easy on training and lots of running, hitting and very minimal throwing.

YES! 25lbs since we started, that’s huge progress!

Breakfast - 3 eggs and beef

(4pm) “Lunch” left over beef ends in a tortilla.

Dinner - ribs and cauliflower. Half TB of BBQ sauce was 12 cals, 3 grams

Got home from baseball, jumped on scale fully dressed, and weighed 205. Hoping that means I weigh 204 tomorrow! I feel like my love handles have shrunk a bit. Getting tighter around the waist.

No worries, was a busy trip. Was in Corvallis on Wednesday - took a college tour with my kids and had dinner at the club. Was a good trip.

No breakfast. Wasn’t intentional. Boss started messaging me at 615. Next thing I know, I’m at the office and it’s noon.

Body was aching from baseball. Also, super hungry. Ordered a #4, received a Bento #4. I ate it all regardless.

Dinner was sushi. Wife picked me up at the office and I left my phone in my truck with my stuff. Didn’t really intend for that to happen, but no photo. Had 12 pieces of pieces like Rainbow roll. Overall, not a whole lot of calories. The sodium pump after dinner was real tho. Took advantage of it and did back and bis.

Tuesday

On Monday at 4PM, I had a superintendent ask if we could push a meetjbg up an hour and half. So, instead of waking at 6, doing cardio, eat breakfast and leaving at 730, I woke up at 5 and hit the road at 540.

Got off work at 6pm and hit the gym. Did legs and 2 minutes of elliptical.

Breakfast and Dinner was a PB Perfect Protein Bar. Lunch was below. Since it was leg day, I decided to have some Halo Top (which is programmed but I’ve forgone). I could have had the whole thing, but only ate 1/3. Just wasn’t hungry. I’m sure it had to do with being tired and mentally drained. After gym, came back and worked until… well, right now (930). I intentionally didn’t bring my computer charger back to the AirBnB to keep me from working too late (past me is such an asshole. Lol)

Wednesday Morning
630 - chest workout
705 - work texts cause me to leave
905pm - leave office

What. A. Fucking. Day.

Breakfast was same ol’ protein bar.
Lunch was 1 cup of rice. All I had without eating something horrible.
Dinner pictured below. I got it at 6pm, came back to office and by 9 I had half left. In my exhausted delusion, I left the food on my desk. Oh well :man_shrugging:t2:

Onto tomorrow.

This sounds like a company I would like to work for!

Congrats man, that’s huge!

Never miss a good sodium pump.

I love my job. It kills me sometime, but I’ve learned so much and get to do something I love.

I have to keep telling myself, ‘10, motherfucking more lbs.”

I always forget this, but it makes a huge difference when cutting.

Friday
Morning Cardio, with 40lb weight vest. 20 minutes

700 - office
600 - left office
630 - dinner with wife and her friend
800 - back home
900 - pass our on couch watching office
1100 - walk to bed. Wife and her friend are hanging out in other room.
830am - wake up

Nearly 12 hours of sleep. Freaking amazing feeling. I can’t even describe how tired I’ve been physically and mentally. Today is my anniversary. Up in PDX all day. I’ll definitely be walking a lot, and try not to overeat. Just small bites of all the yummy food.

Yesterday’s food. All food trucks. Two steak tacos for breakfast. Breakfast burrito for lunch. It looks like half a cup of rice, 2 eggs, a bit of steak, all wrapped in a tortilla. Dinner was a bit of a wild card. Never had this place before, but Filipino food. Rice, noodle and steak.

Anniversary… split all of this evenly with my wife. Weight is 211, low is 205. Probably could poop. I might not have done too bad.

Sunday

Morning 2 mile walk upon waking.

Shoulder workout.

Ended day with a 1/2 walk around the neighborhood, with 40lb vest and a 40lb KB in each hand.

Hoping tomorrow is sub 205lbs.

3 egg scramble with sausage.

Sausage and quinoa

Salmon and broccoli

This was possibly one of the worst ideas I’ve had. My whole upper body hurts. @T3hPwnisher ever tried this?

Never have. Sounds tough for sure.

Woke up today at 204, on the dot. This is a new low (high?) for me.

I’d much prefer to get it over with sooner, using heavier weights, but I don’t think my spine can handle heavy loading anymore. It was a fun conditioning challenge tho. I’d like to be able to do it without having to drop the weight. I dropped it 3 times… I’m sure you’d do a half marathon with that weight. haha

I’ve done a similar (ish) challenge with some kb swings thrown in. Felt like I’d been hit by a train the next day.

I love doing something like that once a month or so. One of my favorites is weighted vest and KB sprints on the stair climber.

You all fail at keeping me accountable!! I didn’t post the last two days.

Some meals last two days. Also… hit back last night and chest this morning. Also, did cardio after workouts.

I love trotting out the occasional OTT challenge in place if regularly scheduled programming. Makes this whole thing more fun.

@Chris_Colucci used to run the 365 challenge every new year that was great for that.
