I receive a mileage reimbursement that pays for my car. It’s typical $1,200 a month. $500 is gas the rest I use to pay off the truck sooner. A Tesla would cost me about $900 a month, but no fuel charge. However, 60,000 a year on a Tesla is rough. After 2 years, I’m not getting any resale and maintenance is unknown. That Toyota will hum along for a long time.
Dang, that’s a nice perk.
Yea. It’s definitely nice to have the extra money. But it comes at a big cost. If I don’t eat out, which I mostly do, then I could make quite a bit. I always eat out tho. Clients always wants to go out. Also, the maintenance on vehicles sucks.
Wednesday Morning
Back workout
20 minutes treadmill
Evening
7 innings of baseball. Three on the mound. 1H, 0ER, 4Ks, 1BB. No bad. Arm feels great.
Dinner was kinda non-existent. Rushed after work to the game.
Woke up at 206. Down a lb.
Went for a 2.5 mile walk after work. Breakfast was chicken and quinoa. Lunch was chicken rice. Dinner tacos.
![image|375x500]Dem some serious tacos!
This place is awesome. I live in a small town just outside two major cities. In the last 6 months, they built a gas station/road stop for truckers. About 3 months ago, food trucks started popping up. It’s been glorious. I no longer have to drive for food. It’s a good 1.25 mile walk to the trucks.
Although… I probably over did it last night with those tacos. My body has been extremely sore. Partially from two-a-days and less food, but also pitching three innings. My whole body feels swollen and achy. I figured a nice long walk and maybe a 300 extra calories wasn’t too bad.
Saturday Morning
Woke up at 208 (+2 from yesterday). No big deal, figured as much.
Circuit at home
20kb swings
3 pull-ups
2 pushups
5/rounds
KB OHP

Lateral Raises
3x15x15lbs
Gonna go for long walk later.
Couple of thoughts:
-
My cravings for candy bars have grown exponentially lately. I haven’t partaken, but good lord it’s tough when I’m checking out at the grocery store or getting gas.
-
I have been drinking 1-3 rockstars/bangs a day for last few months. Last weekend I had no caffeine. This week I’m taking F-S off caffeine.

Now that it’s getting nicer, not raining, I think I’m going to try light jogs in the morning. I’d like to build up my athleticism again. Haven’t talked to @robstein about it tho. I assume if I can keep my heart rate down in the 120-140 range, I should be good.
While my goal hasn’t been so much the Transformstion challenge, I’d like to still put up a good improvement. Hoping I can really put the gas peddle down this next month.
Also… come July 16th, I will no longer he staying in Airbnb’s. I’ll be in a very nice house my company bought. Which means store bought and prepped food. Also, I have an allowance for a ‘company gym’ in the garage. Will be buying a squat rack and cable machine, as well as treadmill. Not sure if I’ll get DBs or KBs. I actually like using KBs in place of DBs.
I agree. I can’t think of a single movement in my extremely limited repertoire that I prefer dumbells for.
I never use kettle bells… what are your go to movements with KBs?
That depends what I’m aiming to achieve.
My favourite unconventional kb movement is using them to do hammer curls. Get an appropriately sized kettlebell, thread a towel through the horns and curl like that. If you really want to go slow, use a hand towel so the bell hits you in the nuts at the top of the rep. I promise you’ll never bounce a rep again.
Sounds a lot like hammer curls on a cable machine with a rope attachment… I like those a lot
Go for it! I used to do part of my cardio briskly walking outside in the middle of the day.
I like how the weight is distributed. Especially for curls and presses. Also, you can do bell up movements, which make your forearms work harder.
Lunch - couldn’t resist, Kimchi fried Rice with two soft boiled eggs. Freaking delish. Approx. 500 cals
Salmon and tons of Brussels.
Also, got 20 Minutes of cardio with weight vest before dinner hammering shoulders again.
@The_Myth I completely forgot you were in the state this past week. I drove to Corvalis and when I saw the golf club and remembered.
Feels very similar. I don’t have a cable station at home though so I had to MacGyver a solution, and found the added benefit of forcing me to move slowly to keep the bell controlled
That thing had better be at least be the size of a large pizza.
It’s pretty good size, approx. 12-14”.
Not a lot of carbs, just from flour. The cals mostly come from fat. Lots of eggs and butter. Although, my estimate is probably high because most the butter isn’t consumed.
