because I am thinking about going that route one day as my work capacity is skyrocketing to annoying levels!
seems like my work capacity is increasing faster than my overall strength levels. What does this mean?
should I stop doing duration work even though I’m still largely a rate dominant lifter?
Jeremy, Thats a fair enough point but its the only two people that I know of. So its 100% (in my head atleast) versus 100% replying to the english emails that I have sent him. Plus there was the claim on the website that he would return every single email.
Its not as if Im trying to discredit him, I was just asking a question. Ive defended his methods in probably 10+ threads on 3+ forums…
Ive made my best progress to date with his methods.

And now we see one of the many reasons why DB prefers confidentiality and is leaning towards closing his doors to the public once again (too many bastards in this world). By the way, you can obviously tell it was manufactured by someone who had no idea what the hell they were doing because it’s just a useless heap of rubber sold at a profitable rate.
Fellas, I don’t know about Jeremy but I have no idea what the hell Dietrich does or doesn’t do…so I can’t answer your question about emails he decides to respond to and those he doesn’t. I know he doesn’t answer every email he gets in (that’s an impossibility), even I have a hard time getting to all the mail I receive…but I know he tries. My only suggestion is to resend the email if it hasn’t prompted a response.
Lastly, I’ve been putting together a few ideas for the site that include a few pictures of Dietrich that I took while I was out there…and I’m going to try and get one of these passed by him. I know that people are very interested to see the man behind the information.
But first I need to convince him not to shut down the site and pull his book off the shelves. I know that he’s already pulled his book from all his vendors.

That’s too bad because many of us like his ideas. He is an outside the box thinker. Thus, there will always be resistance to new ideas.
I’m waiting for the forum to go up. A photo of DB?
I sure hope DB keeps his site open. I’ve begun to use his power training preparation template and would like to start using power-speed template after New years. I am actually trying to figure out how to come up with $$$ to get EMS in time for P-S template. I have things to sell on ebay so it will help some. I’m going to ask everybody to give me cash only for x-mas which hopefully will work. I hated getting useless gifts. They always end up collecting dusts somewhere.
I have a question on power training preparation that DB outlined in his method 2 article. I’m confused by heavy eccentric for 5-9 seconds. Do I start out with 9 seconds and continue to work on heavier sets till I can’t do 5 seconds then use 6% drop off method and finish off from there? That’s what I did with bench press and row today. It’s only two exercises for one session. What else should I do? Do I have to do heavy eccentric for every exercise? I’m looking at a different sample in the sports book so I’m not really sure. It took me 75 mintues to finish 2 sessions doing heavy eccentrics and Iso-miometrics. DB didn’t really go into details on how to set it up so I’m not really sure of what exactly to do.
Tungsten - it means you use the heaviest weight you can do between 5- and 9 secs, ie lower I think in this time interval. Then drop the AW by 6% and keep going until you can’t match the same lowering time/speed
Thanks. What about the heavy eccentric part? Do i have to do all of the exercises for that? I did only 2 exercises, bench and row. Do I need to add one or two exercises more? It seems doing all exercises for An-1 is overkill but what do I know???

Here is a question. I noticed in Squattin 600’s one reply, he mentioned a few hybrids that overlapped more then one system. ie PIM is a member of both the strength-speed and speed-strength group. What is the differing factor? Is it the percentage one would use, or something else?
in one of tungsten’s posts he mentions he is training in the power prep training template… i have been using this as well… however, i havent found his power-speed template…does any1 know of this template…tungsten, have u seen it… i would like to get started on it but i cant find it anywhere
I?m a newbie to DB Hammer?s training methods and would like clarification on one point. I?ve read Kelly Baggett?s article on the inno-sport website and I?ve decided to give the Simpleton?s Autoreg workout a try. (2 sessions, one for upper body and one for lower body)
If I intend to use a 6% dropoff for the frequency cycles, does that mean I train once every 4 days (ie session A, rest 3 days, session B, rest 3 days, session A etc OR do I train each session every 4 days therefore training every 2 days)?

thanks carbide for that… i must of missed it cuz i read thru that article 2ice… that helps alot![/quote]
I can see that my brother helped you out. I missed that part several time when reading the articles too. What did your power prep template look like (what exercises did you use, etc). Intially, it was pretty rough because DB didn’t exactly go into details on how to set it up properly e.g. what exercises to use. I made changes every workouts to make it work better. At first, it felt like i was doing 10 different exercises for my lower back so i had to make changes to lessen the work load off my lower back. Let us know what your speed-power template look like! I probably will use duration and magnitude template after thanksgiving then switich to power-speed template if it’s possible. It just depends on what I have to work with at the gym. It’s tough trying to do it at the commerical fitness gym.

For my Power prep template i used the three main power lifts: Bench, Squat, Deadlift. However, i did do some supplemental lifts as well with this template. I had the same problem you did at first with constantly changing lifts, but soon i began to realize what worked best. I would advise you (if you are doing the power prep template) to use the 3 main power lifts, the bench, squat, and deadlift. All your supplemental work should focus on working on weaknesses. And remember to work the entire body. A great bench cant be achieved through only bench pressing, other work, like on back, shoulders, even hamstrings and glutes, must be done to maximize your power. When i create my power speed template (not made yet!) i will post it for critique. Hope this helps!!
