Progressive training blast number 5 this year! Starting things off with Upper Load/Lower Pump! Volume Tier 1 felt just right today. I was able to really push everything hard and had really awesome energy and performance throughout. Really hoping to smash a ton of food (protein) today and get back ready to crush it tomorrow for the inverse of today’s session! Here we go!(Go Steelers)

Really pushed the gas in this one, my rest periods were crazy short. Really performed all the upper body work with no rest at all. Basically just a giant set. Only had about 35 minutes before I had to pick my wife up, so just had to put my nose to the grindstone. It all went perfectly and I feel like I was thriving under the pressure. Beat my numbers on everything and I’m ready to crush it again Thursday!

Thanks man! Those are so hard but fun! Very few things kill my quads quite like those

I was feeling like deathbed sick last night and early this morning when I took my wife to work. Woke up in a blazing sweat a couple of times with a sore throat, runny nose and a crazy amount of sinus pressure. Thankfully after about 13 total hours of sleep, I felt way better this morning and was able to train a client and even got my own workout session in today! I definitely needed this one, both mentally and physically! It just felt great to get back out there and train my butt off and even progress my lifts after such a brutal day yesterday.

First leg day since the cold. It was definitely tough, my breathing still wasn’t 100% and definitely made this an extremely cardiovascularly taxing lift. I’ve got Upper Load/Lower Pump coming up next before a rest day. The pump was awesome today and I was feeling strong. Steelers won again today and we got our Christmas Tree, so it was definitely a good day!

Had a really nice full body session today! Pulled back on the weight a bit on inclines since I’m trying to eliminate rib flare and emphasize shoulder protraction on the concentric to get a really great contraction on the movement and I could only manage two reps with 285 doing it this way. So I am just pulling the ego out of it and rebuilding. Everything else progressed extremely nicely Vs last time! Being up several reps on behind the neck press was a welcome surprise! I didn’t log it, but I did do some kickstand squats to demonstrate for my brother in law and I ended up pushing that fairly hard. It’s not a good demonstration if it isn’t “Real” lol

Rest day tomorrow then back at it until Thursday then on Friday, taking a road trip with the wife to OK to visit family for Thanksgiving!

Back at it today. Didn’t have a ton of energy today but I was not going to let that stop me. Legs were definitely feeling fatigued during that sissy squat set. Just had to mentally power through that. The upper body work all felt very nice! Not sure if it’ll be Upper or legs tomorrow. It’ll just come down to what is feeling more recovered.

Quick physique update since I haven’t posted one up in a while

Last workout in Canada before I hit the road for OK tomorrow! Opted for a full body session today rather than upper today, lower tomorrow. Worked out well. Really was able to train hard and see some nice progress on my lifts across the board. Incline scoop fly, Overhead fly and somersault squats have become muscle round staples for me and are lifts that just really isolate my pecs, delts and quads incredibly well respectively! I like that Volume Tier 1 incorporates some Pump sets on these muscle round days, especially on days like this, where it’sa but more consolidated as seen in the “Family Man” 3 day a week plan option from the Fortitude ebook. Excited to get some workouts in at my local gym in OK and see some of the characters from there that I’ve missed and, of course, very excited to see all my family!

First workout in Oklahoma today! Went really well despite having to work in around a mob of teenagers on the bench. Thankfully I just do one working set per exercise so I’m basically in and out of each piece of equipment. Only 46 minutes! Progressed well on everything in spite of not enough sleep last night. Hoping for some more tonight and a rest day tomorrow and back to it Wednesday!

Really had a fantastic session today. Just absolutely smashed my whole body here and took advantage of the free motion machine for a lot of my Upper Pump work since I don’t ordinarily have access to that. Seated decline cable press was tremendous! Really got a great squeeze/contraction on that. I was just really able to focus on protracting my shoulders there. Also my strength was insanely high on leg curl. I have never used so much weight on this machine before, so that was insane and also nice to keep the progression going on squat! Excited for Thanksgiving and seeing my family! Happy Thanksgiving! I’m very much thankful for the love and support you all always give me in here!

Last workout in Oklahoma/last workout of this Progressive blast was definitely a tough one! Really happy to have had another chance to use this equipment again before I go back. The Cybex chest press is always a piece of equipment I look forward to using! The chest supported T-Bar Row is decent but I think I prefer dumbbells over the T-Bar. The Smith Sissy Hacks are absolutely killer. Definitely one of my favorite Leg movements.

Also had to grab a pic with the hum lighting!
