Came into this session feeling extremely sore, particularly in my upper body, so I knew I’d have to scale back to Volume Tier 1 today. No shame in that. Gotta do what I gotta do. The awesome part was that I actually felt super strong on all of my lower body lifts. 340x12 on squat was a massive PR and was honestly just a pipe dream earlier in the year. I think squatting on wedges has really helped. I really just feel so strong, secure and balanced on them.

With my chest and back being sore as they were, I went with more contraction based movements. Pec minor dips and 2 arm Dumbbell Row were perfect here. Ready for a rest day tomorrow and then back at it for muscle rounds Thursday!

Took a few extra days off. Basically entering into the cruise phase. I’m finding that it’s not the best idea to just push through to 6 weeks for every Blast no matter what. Just take the cruise phase when the fatigue and soreness is piling up. I think not being a knucklehead is going to really help with my longevity in this game.

I got through this workout pretty fast, which is exactly what I needed today before going to my father-in-law’s birthday party. Dumbbell floor fly press was awesome! Maybe went just a hair too heavy on these for being my first time with it. Still felt great and was able to get 4 sets in before failing. Crazy connection with my chest there. Definitely will keep these in the rotation! Ended up going with a pump set on triceps to save some time and recovery! Rack Chins are getting crazy strong, absolutely one of my favorite Back builders if you’ve never tried it!

My buddy brought me out to his gym today and they had a ton of equipment I’ve never gotten to use before, including a Pullover machine! Man it was awesome! All of the equipment I used today absolutely rocked! I would love to come back some day! I took my friend through a full muscle round session. Props to him for hanging in there through the whole thing! He’s a trooper! Had to cut back thickness and calves due to time constraints. I’ll probably have one more session on this cruise period… or maybe none depending on recovery and then we’ll resume things as normal! Great start to the week! Tonight, my wife and I spend the night at a spa and resort as a late 2 year anniversary celebration!

Thank you so much! We had an incredible time! We got a couple’s massage last night, which was my first time ever getting a massage and it felt so good! This morning we went to Denny’s (also my first time at Denny’s)for breakfast and I had the sirloin and eggs meal. Delicious!

lol I did use a different pen and different notebook than usual, just ones I had out in the car since I left my regulars in the garage. This was one of those markers pens. I like it!

I’m going to have to go with The Gymleco Fly. That was probably the smoothest pec fly machine I’ve used! The lateral raise felt immaculate as well!

Trained at a buddy’s gym today where we hit my final session of this cruise phase. What a workout! Got to try a bunch of new machines once again. Really enjoyed every new machine I hit up. Actually used the whole stack on the leg curl and leg press despite the level of exhaustion I felt by the end haha! I actually ended getting hired on here to train some clients so I’ll definitely be training here more often! Hyped for the possibilities!
