Really fun Leg day today. This was the most thrashed my legs have been after a leg day in quite a bit. Those somersault squat 1.5s followed by walking lunges felt like something concocted by Satan himself. A good Leg day is almost unlike any other body part just due to how completely useless it becomes after a hard session and how much the legs get used in daily life compared to other body parts. I’m sure I’m going to be feeling this for several days!
That leg day looks like pure masochism, real mental fortitude to get through that! Bet the pump was fun.
The next update photo needs to be of/include those wheels!
I think you’re right man!
Phreaky-deeky Arm Day. Final day of week 5. I loved the alternating Tricep/Bicep exercises. Definitely gave me a phenomenal pump That probably would’ve been even better if I had my intra, but I forgot it and didn’t drink it until Post workout. Regardless, I loved this session and really enjoyed cranking out some push ups too. I’ve been doing some 2 Pump burpees as conditioning lately as I begin this cut so they felt like a breeze during that first set and then each successive set had me pretty burned out and arms ballooned the heck up. Ready for back tomorrow! Also going to shoot for 45 unbroken burpees tonight. Got 40 last night.
Alternating biceps and triceps made this one fun. Insane pump at the end with both bis and tris blown up
It was perfection. This was the embodiment of why I really love arm days! Great selection of exercises to really feel jacked afterwards!
This was the best back day I’ve had in a while. I don’t know if I was just extra locked in with the Yankee game playing in the background or what but I absolutely hammered my lats and they are so sore now. I actually felt my skin kind of tearing as a stretch mark formed at the top of my left lat by my armpit. Just crazy. Week 6 is starts with a bang!
Last Chest & Shoulder day of The Incinerator! This one was long and difficult as all hell. A lot of heavy ass weight lifted and now I’m tired as hell. I’m going to sleep like a baby tonight! Post workout meal was a can of salmon, a cup of raspberries and a banana.
I actually recorded the last set of Reverse Band Inclines and now realize I miscounted my reps in my log… Brain was scrambled by the intensity!
And my second set of Dumbbell flys
A simply crushing final leg day of John Meadows Incinerator program! I was pushing crazy hard today. Really trying to finish strong. The barbell hack squats at the very end were absolutely torturous! My chest is still crazy sore today from yesterday’s session. This last week has absolutely cranked the Intensity up to 11 and I love it!
Here’s my top set from squats (which was actually a PR!):
The dropset was an awesome way to finish out. Have to keep that one in the repertoire.
Absolutely man! I loved how challenging this leg day was from beginning to end to really cap things off here!
Arm day. Always a fun session, and there’s nothing like getting a sleeve splitting pump! Obviously no heavy or impressive lifts here to write home about, but growing your arms is always cool!
Contemplating between Mountain of DoggCrapp, Creeping Death, High Evolutionary or just returning to Fortitude. Training in a few hours and haven’t made a decision yet lol
Okay, I’ve decided to just go with what I’ve been wanting to try for a while, Ben Pollack’s “MountainCrapp”. As you may be able to surmise by the name, it’s a blend of John Meadows’ Mountain Dog Training and Dante Trudel’s DoggCrapp aka DC Training. It preserves the exercise sequencing conventions used by John(pre-Pump activation exercises) and follows up it with heavy progressive overload style Rest Pause sets (or heavy sets, followed by lighter weight backoff Widowmaker style sets) for the big muscle groups followed by extreme stretches as seen in DC training. Training sessions still feature the DC inspired AB days with an exercise rotation.
Additionally, there are Pump days á la MountainDog for arms, delts and abs that are more focused on volume and, well, getting a pump!
Today was Day A1, so Chest, Shoulders and Back. I really loved the layout here, but I will say this session was HARD! This setup definitely reminds me a lot of Fortitude Training, so I felt right at home. All of the movements here are ones I’m a really big fan of!
If anyone is curious to learn more, here are the two videos where Ben discusses his thoughts on the two programs and then how to practically apply them:
Saving this link, definitely looks like a fun program
It’s really awesome, especially if you have a good sense of what exercises are absolute money for you. I think I’m going to have some fun here!
B1 session today was Legs. Really loved how hard this session was. Switched back to Hanging dumbbells from my hip belt rather than using the cable, because it just feels harder and it’ll be easier to continue to overload without way exceeding the weight capacity of my cable system. Widowmaker barbell hack squats were insanely terrible. Not sure what I was thinking there haha! Got a bit of a lower ab cramp during that set but it wasn’t anything crazy. Feels good now. Definitely enjoying blending the best of DC with the best of Mountain Dog!
Well @alex_uk, it’s almost a year later but I’m finally doing it!
Awesome, I’ll definitely be following along (still) - I know you’ll do the program justice!
Delts and abs today. I don’t know if I’ve ever done a delt Focused day before, but I could probably use it because I’d like to balance my delts with my arms a bit more and this was awesome! Really cranked the intensity up here! This was a session with a lot of intensity techniques and dropsets and so forth. Every set was an absolute ball buster, which really is this the case with every set that I log here on this program. It’s felt great and I’m really recovering well so far!
