Dani's Rebel Log

I would be remiss if I did not point out that there are no male authors on your list.

Also, kind of weak to not post in the other thread.

Did you eat that Snickers yet?

Okay, “the Myth” needs a time out. Multiple flags, multiple troll accounts, contributing nothing. Banned for a bit. Maybe he’ll find a woman and get some relief.

Bummer! Your insights are welcome here.

I was going to say he should eat the snickers upside down so he gets to feel that veiny texture on his tongue.

Insightful? You be the judge, lol

That’s a really good question. Now you’ve got me wondering.

Can you guys see where accounts come from?

EDIT: What I was going to post was this, @Dani_Shugart:

I don’t know if it’s behind a paywall, but if I click “Reader View” on my browser as soon as opening an article I can often somehow bypass the paywall.

I really like that lady. She gets the momma bear of the century award.

You found the story! Very cool. Thanks for posting it here. :raised_hands:

I’ve read 9 of the books on that list and have now put the other two on my list! Thank you for the happy distraction!

Thank YOU for being such a voracious reader and sharing your recommendations with us! Your participation in any thread is the bees knees.

Our system lets us know when a person has multiple accounts. I’m fine with that by the way: a person may want to be himself in most threads but have an alternate account for topics like TRT or steroids. I get that. But when you’re suddenly being personally attacked by several people, we can check to see if it’s the same person, as happened in this situation. Kind of weak of him.

I don’t have time to participate in many threads here extraneous to my love of powerlifting. But if I was looking for something to read, I might look at this list. I haven’t read most of these, but thousands on Goodreads have rated many of these highly. Of course, if someone with similar tastes is making good recommendations, that might be better (less pretentious, more your thing).

Snow Day Workout

Leg Press: 4 x 8

T-Bar Row: 3 x 8-10
Band Rotator Cuff Thing: 3 x failure each side

Meadows Rear Delt Swing: 3 x drop set to failure

I found the sweet spot for loading. Start with 30 pound dumbbells, hit failure, drop to 20 pounds, hit failure. Rest and repeat. The more often you do this, the easier it becomes to feel the delts working. It requires playing with technique a bit.

Straight Arm Band Tricep Pulldown: 3 x 10-12 each side

Cable Behind the Back Lateral Raise: 3 x failure each side

:snowflake: Conditioning: Snow shoveling. (Might have to do it again in a few hours.)

Other Stuff

I attended the first session of an eight-week improv class last night and spent a couple hours laughing my face off with complete strangers. I don’t have a scientific explanation of what’s happening to the brain during improv, but it’s definitely doing something positive.

Colorado’s beautiful golden leaves are not going to be the same after this week, so here’s a pic from the last colorful walk we went on:

Today’s Workout

Hip Thrust

Straight Arm Pulldown
Tricep Pulldown

Superset
Hammer Strength Chest Press
DB Lateral Raise

This was my first non-painful chest exercise in the past month. Pec feels fine so far which makes me excited about the potential of putting all chest work back in rotation! :raised_hands:

Other Stuff

My goal is to be cringe on purpose and with gusto.

Let’s send this to our democrat friends. They need all the holopeve they can get.
