Dallas Cowboys, 16-0?

Also, one of the fumbles was not really a fumble. It would have been overruled, as the ground caused the fumble.
Plus the Packers had home-field advantage. The Cowboys had more turnovers than the Packers as well. The Cowboys are just the better team. I was surprised at how well the Defense played. Instead of given up 7 they gave up field goals, which was the difference.
I was talking about the one fumble where Barber lost it spinning in the air and it landed right in the arms of a Cowboy. And the other one where Romo was stripped and one of his O-linemen jumped on it. If those two fumbles are recovered by the Packers it could have been a very different ball game.

I’m still not convinced the Cowboys are the better team though. They were the better team last night but a lot can change over the course of a season.

Look at what the Giants did last season. The Packers spanked them early in the year and they went on the win the SB.

Your right anything can and will happen over the course of the season, but as of right now, the Cowboys will win again, if they played against each other next week.
That is what makes football so great.

Meh, you may be right. I just love football.

Go Broncos! We’ll outscore anybody!

After watching the game last night, while I am pissed that TO and Witten did next to nothing for my fantasy team, I have to say that Dallas is legit. Definitely the team to beat this year.

Romo didn’t look great though. If you take TO out of the game he doesn’t know what to do.

Damn, there were countless times the Packers D ran to the right, and the Cowboys RB just ran to the left with no one there.

The designed cutback by Felix Jones was a great call. I don’t know why the Stillers don’t use that with FWP.

That’s what I took away from the game. I was, however, impressed with Dallas’s O-line. The made the holes and they held their blocks. I was also impressed, to a lesser degree, by Green Bay’s secondary. Playing with two-backups they kept the passing game in check for the most part. But, they also gave up two big plays that were probably the difference in the game, so it wasn’t all champagne and roses.

I’ll have a video up within a week, RJ.

Romo is not the Cowboys. The mark of a great team is their ability to adapt when things are not working. TO was double covered, and jammed on the line all night. Most of the hurries, and sacks on Romo were not because of a good pass rush, but an effective coverage scheme on the part of the Packer secondary. Romo had tons of time almost every time he dropped back.

But the passing game was just not there. Cue the running game.

Rogers is a by the game plan guy. That is a fault when his team is behind. You are not going to see him create any magic in the 2-minute drill, and that was proven last night.

Romo loves to fly by the seat of his pants. That is a fault when you need him to just stick to the game plan, and win the game.

I will take Romo’s faults over Rogers faults any day.

People love to recall the fumbled snap on the field goal against Seattle 2 years ago. What people fail to mention is that Romo was a shoestring tackle away from scoring a TD on that blown play.

If’s and buts, though. People were about ready to trade Sheli last season. They will be ready to do the same thing this year, only the hysteria will not abate as the Giants, if they make the playoffs at all, will already have their lockers cleaned out by the second round of the playoffs

We didn’t formally make the bet. You owe me nothing.

Not after next week

Romo’s similar to Favre in that way.

But I don’t think anyone can say what is Rodgers yet. He’s only just starting his third game. He’s still largely unknown.

I was going to say exactly that. And besides, I wouldn’t want Rodgers flying by the seat of his pants yet, it’s too early for that. Let him get a years worth of starts in before he tries some crazy shit.

LMAO!

There is a good reason no one is talking about the Redskins - they suck.

Fighting Irish, If I remember correctly last year before the playoffs, you where gay bashing Eli, and rightfully so. Now your all over him, in a gay way.
Am I right?
And yes, yesterday over the Bengals he won that game.
I have no idea what I wrote, although I doubt I was gay bashing him.

I was not a fan of his until the Patriots game last year. I’ve always thought he had all the potential in the world, but I didn’t think that he would ever get it together and have that team follow him like they did (and do now).

Like I said, I was at the first game he ever led the Giants in a two minute drill down the field for a touchdown, it was in late December of 2005. That was a flash of his potential, but I didn’t know that he’d ever have anything but flashes of it.

The guy made a believer out of me last year, and he’s shown nothin but the same this year. I have suffered with the Giants for many years. It is good that they’ve got this team at this time.

The pack offense was gassed last night at the end. I have never seen an offense look so winded.

I guess Rogers is only good when he isn’t facing a real defense.

Makes no difference to me, though. Dallas is 3-0 - you can’t say that about your wimp-assed loser Packers, can you?

Hey who made it to the championship game last year and who was home sucking their thumbs and playing golf? Oh, I think it was that choke artist Tony Homo and his gay retarted boyfriend T.O. thank you very much!

I will admit though we played like shit against you guys the other night and we couldn’t stop the run for shit, which is horrible because our run defense is usually on top of its game.

As for Rogers, he did play minnesota. And he did play well against your “boys” last year. And I can’t say that about my pack but I can say if your “boys” are fortunate enough to make it to the playoffs this year my pack will be wiping T.O. off the bottom of their shoes and sending Tony Homo back to pick his gay boyfriend up with a shovel.

In case you haven’t noticed - this is 2008. I’m really happy your packers made the playoffs last year, and made it to the NFC championship game. But, that was last season.

Let’s focus on this season. GB is in one of the weakest divisions in the NFL. You can easily finish with 6 losses in the North, and still win it. So saying you can make the playoffs is like saying you can finish 8-8.

The pack had their chance to prove how great they are sunday night. They failed.

Dallas will finish with the best record in the NFC, if not the NFL. Romo is trying not to be so much of a gunslinger, and throw the ball away when he gets in trouble - as evidenced by the 2 grounding calls against him. Since he’s not used to quitting on plays, he has a learning curve to overcome with respect to throwing passes away.

But with that said, if Sunday Night proved nothing else, it proved that you can either shut down the run, or shut down the pass - but you are not going to be able to do both at the same time. So a team is going to have to decide if it wants to lose on the ground, or lose in the air.

I just want to reiterate that there is absolutely no way the Cowboys don’t win the Super Bowl this year, everybody should just stop playing and give them the trophy already, season over

I just want to say slimjim, that maybe your confusing them with your Minnesota Vikings…
Also, Romo’s main guy is Jason Witten, not TO like many people think. Albeit TO has the better numbers. You can shutdown TO, but I really believe Tony is always looking for Witten. Who may be the best TE in football, if not at least top 3.

Numbers wise he’s the best TE out there, his numbers are equal or better than many other team’s #2 receivers.

As much as I hate the Cowcunts I picked up Witten right away in my fantasy drafts. He is one truly tough son of a bitch.

BULLSHIT< they will choke in the playoffs, they are a weak willed team,
they should have lost to phili, and next time around they will get outplayed.
Dallas DOES NOT HAVE A HEART OF A CHAMPION. NOT SINCE THE NINETIES.
