Everything down a little today and elbow tenderness getting very real. Have been doing circuits up until now… the pullups are pissing off connective tissue in the elbow.
Will space things out for the next 5 days or so till things are feeling brighter.
I think you meant to post this elsewhere…like a training log perhaps?
Stims and pre workout carbs have always helped me keep up the strength when dieting, but I figure when you start to get seriously lean i.e. sub 8%, losing all that water and fat will have a negative impact on your lifts regardless of how much muscle you’ve retained.
On a slightly related note I remember Johnnie Jackson mentioning how he cuts out deadlifts coming up to a show, since he’d be carrying less water and fat in his lower back, that the lift simply became too dangerous for him to perform at the weight using.

Good point. While my own strength doesn’t drop or lag at all during preps, I am aware that I may be more susceptible to gym related injuries in such a state, so I try to be more aware or what I’m doing, especially with squatting, or anything that stresses the lower back.

Question Prof, do you ever take stimulants before lifting?
The better question would be when do I not.
There is no way I could have made it through school going as hard as I was without waking myself up in the gym.
Lately I use coffee and Spike to get up for the gym.
Also, the supplement I mentioned has changed the way I even think about my eating. I don’t need near as many calories as I used to.
are you referring to MAG-10 with that last part?
