CT Snatch High Pull - 180 Kg

YES! Thank you!

.

WOW AWESOME STUFF CT!

Beast!

From the picture you can see that it was a fake session and that I didn’t put any effort into that workout (sarcasm  ).

Oh yeah, from the video you can see why I say that explosive pulls will build the calves and that no diret calves work is necessary!

Fake session and plastic plates ;)[/quote]

Actually yes, the plates are plastic, or hard rubber… sadly they still weigh 20kg  And that was on a powerlifting bar, not an olympic lifting bar. The power bar is much stiffer which makes the pull even harder

You know what I meant :stuck_out_tongue:

I was training in a new gym yesterday and they had 2.5kg bumper plates - they were about 2/3 of a foot thick. For some reason my brain couldn’t reconcile the size and the weight and I kept grinning like a fool whenever I saw them.

Yeah, I train a lot of crossfit athletes and even though they are good athletes they still do something weird like loading a barbell with five 5kg bumper plates on each side instead of a 45lbs one +5lbs

Now there’s an idea for my new FB profile pic…

Awesome display of power, CT!
Very impressive.
What happened to your tan?

@CT:

I must have watched this 20x already.

I really admire the quiet aggression that you approach the bar with.

Thank you Tim & CT + Biotest crew for posting this for us to enjoy.

I’ve picked up a lot of technique details from it.

Great lift, man!

Cheers,
M

@CT Does this mean that with your current strenght leveles your could potentially snatch 180kg?

The tan is gone :open_mouth: Sweet jesus CT you made that look easy man.

Leo, not CT but yes. He gets the weight high enough to drop under it so, in my mind, the only factors are his dropping under the weight, locking his arms under the weight and standing up with it? Don’t have a clue as to his technique and overhead squat but if I had to put some money on it, I’d say “yes he could–maybe not now but in the near future.”

Keep in mind he’s been away from Olympic lifting for a while but his strength is capable of that high a snatch but, remember, the snatch is a pretty technical lift [as is the clean and jerk]. But I’m confident that when he gets his technique dialed back up I’d be surprised if he didn’t get that big a snatch.

like a b0$$

My wife basically banned me from taning salons and staying outside more that 15 minutes  She didn’t like it when I got too dark.
