Im setting up a two-a-day program to try for a couple of weeks. Ive currently been doing 5 workouts per week, but am gonna have the free time to try something new. Ive done some reading, and came up with a basic program, but have a few problems.
- My training days will be M,W,F, but I will need to go to the gym on Sun, and Th, because those are the days i go with my gf, and i’d like to continue going with her. So on these extra days, should i just do some mobility work, assistance exercises like face pulls, and some steady state cardio? Otherwise what should i do?
So heres the program Im thinking of trying. Its an A-B split, with strength training and technical lifts in the morning and more conditioning related stuff in the evening.
Workout A: (morning)
A- Zercher Squat: 6x5 or 2x15
B1- Pullups 3x10 or 10x3
B2- Horizontal press 3x10 or 10x3 (will EDT esque’)
Workout A2: (evening)
Complexes- I’ll be doing various complexes probably similar to those in “complexes for fat loss” or real fast fat loss. Also, if im going to put higher reps of strength training (30+) they will go in this workout.
Then i’ll possibly do some steady state cardio, at a faster rate, for 15 minutes or so.
Workout B: (morning)
A-Deadlift variation: 3x10 or 10x3
B1- Muscle snatch 3x10, 10x3, 5x5, or 2x15
B2- vertical press ‘’ ‘’ ‘’ ‘’
Workout B2: (evening)
Similar to workout A’s evening workout but with different movements.
What do you guys think, and what should I do on those two extra days?
