Creation Part II

Definitely.

I’ll leave part 2 up to your judgement. Base it from your logs, and I’ll be interested.

Who are you?

Yes, I would love to see a 30 week +/-program thats main goal for the first half is fat loss and mass gain for the second half. Intigrating diet, cardio, anaerobic cardio, Oly lifts, power lifting and bodybuilding. Like a longer winning formula but with periodized lifting and diet logs

Thank You

Die Nadel,
you need to start reading up!

Rock on with ya bad self.

I want to bear your children.

Does the original one need an update that badly?

To Joey Z.'s point, us guys who are 40 and over can indeed train 4 days a week… just maybe not ALL the time. I hadn’t done it in a while, but I have been the last 7+ weeks. Last week was tough, but for some reason I’m raring to go this week. Noting some reasonable adaptations is a good idea, though.

o0ArticA0o, Perhaps you missed my point - I wanted him
to design a program which would also include an alternate
version for those who don’t fit the following categories:

A.) Genetic freaks
B.) 21yrs old
C.) Doing heavy androgens

*I’m not asking for a program designed “just” for older
guys - but one that includes options for them!

P.S. Getagrip and JimMcD, thanks for understanding the needs of
us older guyz!

JB lets not talk about it. Get it done. Very interested. I am following much of the guilines from the first article now and receiving great results from the training and nutrition.

As far as adapting the article to what people want, I dont think that is a direction u should go/or worry about. No matter what is written u cant expect to please everyone. Each individual has to take info they get and experiment and find what works for them. So to that end I think it would be a much better article if u simply wrote the truth. what u have been using and what works for u. Every aspect may not be perfect for everyone, but is there any aspect of training/nutrition that is universial.

Yup! (But I would like you to leave out the amount of weight you use, as it makes me feel pathetically weak).

As the char-dawg in question, just let me just say that training four days a week doesn’t present any problems for me at all. In fact, it’s my preferred split.

However, you do have to be careful setting it up. The Westside stuff works great. But even there, you need to throttle back once every so often (in my case, about every eight weeks or so). But if you read the Westside threads, there are some good ideas about how to prevent CNS burnout.

That said, I agree with the oOArcticOo guy above in that JMB should write exactly what he did. But it would be nice if maybe he also tossed in some ideas about what those of us who are less genetically gifted (which means just about everyone) should do to tailor the prgram a bit for individual needs.

I’d love to hear your thoughts about planning workout partioning and timing(resistance and aerobic)
same goes for macro-nutrient patiotioning and timing (ofcourse only stuff you havent covered yet)

thanks

S-man

HURRY UP ALREADY!

Like you even have to ask!!!..;o)

John, we’d definitely be interested. One thing I’d like to know is the actual meals you eat- I’m sure you’ve come up with some variety there to keep from getting bored- I know I’m about to lose it if I eat one more steak and veggies with fish oil for my P+F meal. Thanks, and looking forward to you dropping some knowledge on us!

JB -

  1. Will part II be an extension of part I or would it be replacing part I?

  2. Are the items in part I obsolete?

another thing that will be interesting is how to combine your advice with a busy lifestyle and/or low bidget, i.e what should be emphasized, what should be secondary etc.

thanks

S-man

We love you.

JoeyZ., I get what your asking now. Some suggestions for alternate “easier” routines, might actually be a good idea.

for that char-dawg guy, thanks for understanding.

Great idea I would like to see how your thinking has evolved regarding training. Please no one-legged bodyweight squats

I’d be curious to hear more about your training methodologies. Training Philosophy, Loading Perameters, Exercise selection and rationale, etc. Any nutrition info that would go along with it would be a definite bonus.
