Creatine-Monohydrate Not Working?

I’ve started my dosage of creatine about a week and a half ago.
I dont find it works because i haven’t seen a difference in strenth gains nor do i look bloated from water retention. infact, i can see my veins even more now then before taking creatine. I have been drinking over a galon (3L) of water a day.

The bottle says to do a loading phase for one week and then taper down to 5 grams a day. I dont do loading phases as i beleive your body shits out the excess and only uses what it needs.

I take in the morning or post-workout daily 5 grams. Any ideas what could be wrong?

Your using a non-Biotest version of creatine, that is what is wrong! A common myth is that creatine will instantly within a few days give you monumental strength gains. It does not.

Much like if you were to hear someone say, I hear if you take that whey protein stuff you get buff. Dare I say Casein?! Do some research on creatine and the fundamental reasons why it works and how it works. Google!

ps. You may not get many responses when asking about a rival product to the Biotest line. It is courtesy to not have posted the EAS pic, especially when you easily could have done without it.

But with any supplement you want to give it a period of a month and over time notice the gradual change. You will not wake up tomorrow SWOLE.

Took me 2 weeks before I noticed. Now I can’t tell if its working (been many months since I started taking it).

At the time I was going for a new 1RM PRs so its partly hard work, partly eating a lot more, and partly the creatine.

What do you expect from it? I noticed less fatigue after the first 2 or 3 sets and a a slightly higher max rep.

If you are not doing the loading phase, then it will take about a month for the full effects to be noticed.

several years ago i was taking the creatine serum and with tha tyou are supposed to be able to bypass the whole thing with allowing it to build up in your system

what you have to remember is that most of the powder creatine will pass thru your urine as waste so it takes a while for it to build up and saturate your body

took about a month or longer to see the results with the serum even
and drink tons of water the creatine if i remember right kind of tells your muscles to suck up the water kind of like water balloons so you really need tons more than you drink now for it to even work right

might be mistaken though

Whoa man, Biotest natzi over here… haha jk. You are right, won’t happen again. I dont like ordering things online because they take forever and of border issues (Canada/USA).

I did reasearch on creatine supplementation but it was mostly medical and non-bodybuilding related. I will wait a month and see how jacked i get from water retention ;). Thanks all for the advice.

Don’t worry about not buying Biotest or asking questions about a competitor. You buy what you can afford. Period. It may be less effective, but you get what you pay for.
