Do you know what could cause a cramp in the leg/calf during the night ?
When i sleep i wake up with a very big pain in this area, just like it`s going to tear.
Could be:
Lack of potassium.
Lots of scar tissue build-up (probably this… foam roll/LAX ball your calves/peroneals, and then stretch the gastroc/soleus directly after).
I used to have the same thing, where I’d have to run around the room to get rid of it in the middle of the night. #2 stopped that (#2 that I listed above, not the taking a deuce #2).
thanks Andy ![]()
I`ll google to find which food contain more potassium, and try to find some Cressey suggestions about gastroc/soleus stretch ![]()
Can you suggest some gastroc/soleus stretches ?
The roller and a tennis ball work wonders. I just went through a bunch of calf issues and look above to the hamstrings and hip flexibility. Usually that calf pain and cramping can come from other areas.

Yup.
As for the stretches, just google image it. Relatively straight knee for gastoc, somewhat bent knee for soleus. Then just lean forward with heel on the ground, you could probably figure it on your own haha.
