Countrygirl Training Log #1

@bulldog9899 thank you so much for checking in with me :smirk: my shake has gotten a little better since I moved to a bar. I still notice it but with a tight squeeze in my shoulders and focus I’m good to go!! So nice of you to ask.

HAHAHAHA… Please tell me you do not do this!!! I can do that on the farm without running up and down the street. Crazy/Hilarious :joy:

Edit: I need to hear the accent as the scream and run!!

Nope, we’re not that crazy. Well, we don’t mess with bulls. Much, that I know off.

The good: I had an amazing workout with my trainer tonight and feel very energetic!

The really bad: I told him it was my last session because they raised the rates. I have money but can’t spend that much on myself. For some reason I went soft and can’t stop crying!!! …I’m so scared about doing this on my own and needed the help badly because it’s been such an outstanding turnaround in my life. I am so freakin upset ahh :disappointed:

You’re ready! You can always post here with questions and form checks - an awful lot of expertise following your log (not referring to myself).

@The_Myth your support always means a lot and your thoughts always count!!! I know I need to suck it up and be stronger but for some reason it hit me way hard. The amount they want from me for 10 sessions covers a year membership to a really nice gym. I need to be more confident and keep pushing but am honestly scared.

You did right. You’ll be fine. Bounce ideas off us here, post videos if you need. I honestly think you’ll learn more that way.

Thank you! I feel better this morning but still nervous. You know I’m going to drive you crazy with dumb questions and crappy videos :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: your going to get tired of it!

Naw, we won’t get tired. Everyone learns from the process.

Thank you! I hope you give me feedback too. I’ll take all the help/support I can get.

Im glad to hear that things are improving in that regard.

I joined an amazing gym today  woot woot!!! My trainer texted me about making the rate lower so I could still go but I’m not sure. I don’t want to pay lower if he expected a higher price. I decisions were easier.

A good gym is more important that a trainer. You’ll eventually get to know people at the gym; if it’s a good gym, some or many of them will be knowledgeable and able to help you as much if not more than a trainer.

@MarkKO that’s a good way to think about it. Between the support on here and at the gym, I think I can still achieve badass workouts. I feel very motivated now!!!

Alright y’all, I need some good advice from anyone willing to give…

Tomorrow is my first day at the new gym and working out all by myself  YES, the training wheels are coming off!!! I am extremely pumped to push myself hard but also pretty nervous. I don’t want to get overwhelmed when I get there and would like help from my buddy’s on here.

What the heck do I do for my workout?!? My legs are still pretty sore from Wednesday. My goal is still to gain muscle tone and get my core looking better. This gym has absolutely everything so don’t hold back.

Thank you so much!!!

what would you like to do?

I definitely agree with what MarkKO said, a good gym is very valuable. It can be scary venturing on your own, but part of the journey is picking up various bits of training advice to find something that suits you. I started training when I was 15 and am still always learning and adapting.

I am sure there are people on here far more qualified to help you get a routine together than me, but there are exciting times ahead and you will learn so much and see great results.

@Yogi1 I am not sure if I should follow what my trainer had me do which was a ton or something like this:

Barbell/Dumbell bench press
Squat
Dumbell shoulder press
Tricep dumbell kickback
Dumbell/Barbell Shrugs
Calves- standing/sitting

I hope that didn’t sound like a stupid question and if you have any thoughts, please let me know.

@Ironwarrior25 thank you for letting me know your thoughts! You can always add anything your thinking. I appreciate whatever I can get because I know everyone is different and maybe something you do works for me too. I can’t wait until I know exactly what I want to do and not think about it so much just get to the gym and do!!
