Countdown to 1st Contest

Weighed in at 171.4 lbs right out of bed this morning. Considering I won’t be ingesting any more fibrous veggies, and will be cutting water tomorrow afternoon, I think I’ll be okay with making the weight class cutoff. I am damn hungry today, really missing the broccoli and lettuce, but I figured I can have 3 sugar free jello snack packs insted of 2, and by eliminating a few slices of cheese with my eggs, I can have an extra serving (17 pices) of pepperoni to snack on.

Corey and I were discussing the loss of condiments, and what I’d be eating on Friday during my carb up. Obviously I will need some protein source with each carb meal, so I plan on having a cup of egg whites for each of my first 2 feedings. When I brought up the possibility of using some fat free cheese slices with the eggs, Corey pointed out my “what can I get away with” attitude, and emphasized that Dorian wouldn’t be whining about forcing down egg whites. I felt so worthless -lol.

So today, I’ve got the letters “W.W.D.D.” scrawled on the top of my hand. When I even start to think about maybe sprinkling anything resembling a condiment on my food, I look down and see "W"hat "W"ould "D"orian "D"o? Then I suck it up, buckle down, and stay on task.

And by the way, it actually helps a lot that so many of you t-folk have expressed such support. I really reminds me that a lot of people are pulling for me, and win or lose, I think I’m putting up a hell of a fight.

Stu, you have no idea who I am but I have enjoyed following this thread! Best of luck in your competition.

Same goes for me, good luck Stu!

Really good thread, shoulders in particular look good.

Stu, you’ve done great and you are ready.

It’s out of your control pretty much now, but you should be definitely proud of accomplishing a goal you’ve set out for yourself.

Best of luck this weekend.

Muscles looking small from lack of glycogen, but kinda ‘tight’ overall. Corey actually showed me a contest prep list, specifically pointing to the “self sabotage” item -lol. Just need to have faith I’m on target!

Stu,

You are shredding nicely! I second the comment that you don’t look small, in fact with the lower bodyfat I think it makes your arms/shoulders look bigger.

Don’t let your mind play tricks on you, you are in great shape!

All the best for the comp.

Dude - you look incredible!!

Kick ass at the show man! Can’t wait to see stage pics and the placing results.

You can win it - best of luck!!!

Wow, Stu! You look amazing! I have a good feeling you’ll place near, or at, the top.

I was planning on coming to the prejudging, but my plans were “sabotaged” by my wife’s declaration that “we already have plans for that day, remember?”

Oh well.

Hey Stu,

I’ve been following this thread for a while. I agree that even though you’ve been shrinking, you LOOK bigger every day. Remember, you only have a few more days to stick to your diet, and then you get to show off your accomplishments to everyone! Good luck!

Go Stu, go! Go Stu, go!

Stu bro, your looking really good. Go win that shit.

Thanks for all the well wishes guys! Did 25 mins of intervals at the gym earlier, just to really deplete (after 4 days of <50g of carbs, I think I’m empty now Mr. Thibs -lol), then went through my posing routine 3 times.

My girlfriend is on her way over now to apply my 1st coat of Pro Tan, meanwhile, I’ve got a tray of plain chicken breasts (no seasoning) cooking in my over, a bunch of bananas grouped according to when I’ll be eating them, two bags of boil-in-a-bag white rice,a couple of tupperwares filled with pre-measured apple pie filling, a bag of plain rice cakes with some nutella spread, a gallon bottle of water 1/2 filled and spiked with some Leucine powder to be finished by 4pm tomorrow, one snickers bar, and a small bottle of ‘shrink-wrap’.

I’ve burned 2 copies of my posing music on CD, and listened to both all the way through to make sure they copied correctly. My brother supplied several towels to destroy during my prep, as well as some rubber tubing to pump up with backstage. I’ve got some surgical gloves to assist with the pro-tan and the ‘muscle juice’ (posing oil), as well as an extra pair of posing briefs just in case

Printed out by my kitchen table are directions to the hotel I booked, directions from the hotel to the auditorium, as well as the flyer with all other pertinent information, all neatly stapled together.

I shaved last night for the ‘last’ time, and will just jump in a quick shower in a few moments to hopefully avoid any unnecessary stink from not really being able to scrub myself well for the next two days -lol.

Here we go guys! I’ll try to write something tomorrow before heading out. Hopefully Corey will be able to get some good pics during the show.

Muscle Juice posing oil is the vasodilator right?
If it is i highly suggest you try it on a spot before the competition. I have some at the supplement store i work at, and it can sometimes cause your skin to go bright red and blotchy… i don’;t know how it will interact with the protan. just to be safe i would say try some.
Good luck with the show!

Good luck, Dude! It is fun! You are going to love it.

“the closer you are to failure, the closer you are to victory, it all depends on how closely you walk the line.”

you are nearly there Stu, threads like this inspire us all to train harder and push ourselves more, godspeed.

Use your pre contest rising tension as positive energy when the time comes.

Good luck Stu!

Knock 'em dead.

Stu,

Not to freak you out, but this guy is right. If you have sensitive skin, muscle juice can burn a bit and create skin redness. The redness may not be as noticeable with several coats of pro-tan applied, but try it to make sure you can tolerate it on a small area before you smear it all over before pre-judging. I think the better option would be to put dream tan over the pro-tan–if you can get a hold of some last minute. Dream tan will make you even darker (never a bad thing for the really white guys) and it has metallic flecks in it which reflect the spotlights nicely and give the skin a nice shimmer. Unlike pro-tan, dream tan can be patted on while backstage, so maybe you could score some from another competitor.

You definitely look ready.

Best of luck!

Not that I know anything but I really like how your arms look here. If you ever get the chance and have the interest taking a photo in the light just as you are here with that pose would be fantastic.[/quote]

I second, I loved this pose.
