Hey guys, if you’re like me, eggs and cottage cheese are two of your staple bodybuilding protein sources. However, I just cannot stand the tastes of eggs. I used to eat them raw (yeah yeah salmonella…), but read here on the forum that you don’t get all the protein absorbed unless you cook 'em up, I’m not sure why that is(please tell), but I guess it is, so I have to cook them. Anyways, I am now microwaving them and the only way I could find to make them eatable to me is if I put them in with some cottage cheese and cheddar cheese. Now my question here is, is microwaving my cottage cheese destroying its structure and therefore interfering with it getting to me muscles? I really hope not, but I’d appreciate somebody telling me the harsh truth! Cheers!
Why not just hardboil and bunch of eggs and have them around when you need quick protein?
Because Scott, my point was I can’t stand the taste of eggs and adding cheese was the only way I could stand eating them. Does anyone know if cottage cheese’s protein is destroyed by heat?
I boil the eggs, but leave them a little soft, I then mix 4 eggs in half a jar of cottage cheese and ass some flax, it tastes great,
You could hard boil them remove the yoke, and fill it with cottage cheese like devilled eggs? another easy way, if you wanna just get it over with, you could use egg-beaters and drink it, it won’t give you salmonella, and it’s fairly taste-less
