First off thanks to whoever suggested using the apples with peanut butter. SO TASTY and really beneficial to the ole digestion system.
Secondly, I know alot of people are making cottage cheese smoothies. This sounds really tasty and I know in the past I’ve made some gains eating cottage cheese. So, what kinds of things are you guys putting in your cottage cheese shakes? Things that come immediatley to mind are: fruit (frozen berries, pinapple) and cinammon, and that’s all I can think of right now.
That sounds AWESOME! I have been wanting to incorporate grapefruit into my diet for so long but have never enjoyed the bitter taste. Now putting it in with those other ingredients sounds like an excellent way to balance it out. Thanks alot clintpatty I look forward to trying this out!
Depending on whether you’re bulking or cutting, you can try blending the cottage cheese with Grow, ice and lowfat Oreos - I really don’t like cottage cheese, but it was pretty good, and had the consistancy of a McFlurry (hehe, can’t help it, they’re so good…) so this was a great substitute. Had a little bit of a wierd aftertaste, but again, I’m not a fan of CC anyway. Hope this helps.
My favorite morning shake: (I eyeball it so the measurements may be off a little) two scoops of grow, about a half cup of oatmeal (raw), about a half cup of cottage cheese, two ice cubes, three frozen strawberriess, add cold water or non-fat milk to desired thickness. Enjoy.
