ok so here are 3 videos, first is squatting with 60 kgs, second with 70 kgs, last is a 130kg deadlift
few things i noticed is that my squat, while still being fast when i go up i think i need to have more stability so the weight goes straight up(instead it goes backwards a bit)
and as for deadlift my back was pretty rounded haha which i hadnt realized it was THAT rounded.
should i bend my knees more when deadlifting so the back is more straight cause i doubt even with less weight that i could get it straight by bending them so little
I wouldn’t claim to be an expert, but your squat form looks pretty good, legs apart, toes pointed out. I wouldn’t concern myself with the speed coming up. The key is control, and stability. I would honestly say the deadlift form is pretty ugly. My first impression is to tell you to get your butt down and your head up.
On your deadlift i agree, get down. when i do them i hardly feel it in my low back, but that’s personal i realize.
Your squats look like you lean too far forward onto your toes try sitting back more, or doing dumbbell squats for a while. and your legs may not be far enough apart. your knees look like they splay out a lot.
Your Squat looks pretty good. You might want to try using a wider stance. Box Squats will teach you how to move the hips first. Learn Box Squats. There’s something off about your squats that I can’t quite put my finger on but I think box squats will help. You’re going deep enough.
Your Deadlift is pretty bad. You really need to get your hips down, tighten your entire back, and get your chin and chest up.
You also pull with slack in your arms. That could result in a bicep tear.
only reason i kept doing deadlifts like this is cause i heard you need to stick your butt up and back. generally that your butt and head should be in a horizontal line at the beginning and as far apart from each other as possible.
as for the squat ill try having my legs more wide open, though im more comfortable this way and the weight doesnt go on my toes.
as for the knees i cant keep em more back, specially when doing full squats… i can try but ill have to lean more forward which may round my back. i think that as long as the weight stays as much as possible in a vertical line from your heels and the weight remains on your heels, and you dont get your knees hurting then it doesnt really mattaer much.
also what did you mean by this?
do they seem not tight enough? should i keep em more tight?
Your arms should hang straight, like they are ropes with hooks on the end.
Your lower back should be straight. Then push out your butt. Your sholder blades should be over the bar. Break the bar off the floor by straightening your knees and locking out with your glutes. You’re starting with straight knees and a round back. That puts extreme stress on your spine.
Don’t worry about your knees going past your toes. If you just push your knees out you’ll be fine. Allow your knees to cave in and you’re gonna be hurting. Even if you decide to keep a close stance you should still push your knees out. It looked like you were doing that already, So Kudos.
For your Deadlift, I know common advice is to make sure you’re not squatting the weight up. Well right now I’d just worry about keeping your back tight and arched.
