Video won’t load for me but if I was to guess, is it the routine of a gymnast hanging in the cross position?
Those buggers are simply awesome to watch, or in my case, not watch
AHHHHH!!!
My shoulders hurt after watching the rope twist part.
Wow, that was amazing. The free hindu pushups in to the handstand, over and over was incredible.
-folly
That was awesome.
I almost shit myself laughing at the guy who posted the comment saying that the stuff was faked with strings, like in Superman.
thats awesome. i can hardly walk without looking like a klutz (haha) and that guy can do upside down jumping jax…? that is absolutely amazing stuff.
How do you train for some of those movements? I’m sure they start at a young age when they’re strength to bodyweight ratios are really high. Talk about strength throughout an entire range of motion!

Xen, you always post the best videos. Do you have any more?
Its balencing your weight. I do gymnastics so i know all about balence and weight and all that. But its not about starting at a young age its all about how you set your mind too it.
Eg: today i want to do a backflip so you prep yourself - get spotters etc. - then when your ready you try it.
If you get it then you work it. What this guy did was work it probably everyday he wasnt sore.

the pole thing isn’t that hard
but if you want to learn some of those skills check out :
What kinds of strength criteria would a long-limbed tall guy like myself need to do something like that?
Those girls running around at the beginning were totally checking him out when he was doing those pushups on the pole. That guy has mangina!

Practice.
Your levers aren’t exactly advantageous for most of those skills. But thats exactly what they are…
Skills.
They do require a GREAT DEAL of motor unit recruitment and flexibility, but these are simply things that have to be practiced 3-4x a day in order for the body to learn them.
for an iron example:
It’s like the overhead squat, its something you can’t fake. Either you’ve been practicing it or you haven’t.
If you OH squat 2x a week heavy, but everyday 2-3x a day you take a broomstick or just bar weight (Something laughably easy) and repped out with it for a few sets… you’ll naturally become more comfortable with it and your body learns to be better at it. As you gain awareness of where your body is at in the lift, you begin to position yourself better and better, and become more and more efficient as you watch your lifts skyrocket.

I second this. I am currently nursing a deltoid injury from OH Squats because the first time I started I got overambitious, had too much weight and here I am, wrecked and posting when I could be lifting…

HAHA… who Jim the beastskills guy or the guy in the vid?
I just saw his grip on the flag he’s doing (the pole thing). I’m gonna try using that grip, makes it a lot easier to press with the lower shoulder.
