@mortdk The reason I have to cut the cycle short is I don’t have time for each session. At least not how I have it laid out.
I could switch it from the 4 day a week down to the 3 day a week but I would have to completely changed my assistance exercises. Even with super setting them into my main lift as much as I can I still have a chosen few that I can’t super set like hip thrust. I need a set that is significantly faster.
I’m addition to that my TM having increased doing 5x5 or 5x3 while the sets take less time I end up needing more rest time. This is adding time to my gym sessions. I need to be done in well under an hour.
So… As you guys have noticed I ran 2 days off prep school to test it out. It’s a decent program if you have the time to recover from it but… I am noticing that to be difficult already.
I still want to do 2 compounds a day 3 times a week but… Less total volume.
So I went back to forever and browsed around.
I am highly considering five and dime.
This would bring me from 11 sets of 5 on 2 compounds (including warm up, 22 sets total) to 6 sets on one and 8 sets on the other (14 sets total)

Just to keep things straight… I went back 3 training cycles on my TM.
Currently running:
Squats at 120
Bench at 90
Ohp at 70
Deadlift at 215
I did this to really dial in form and focus on correct muscles. In 3 cycles I will be back where I was. I am capping my sets and coming back from another unplanned deload week (why 115 only went for 4 instead of 5+)
Warm up deadlift 3x5 135
Ss warm up circuit
Working deadlift 3x5+(last set 10) 140,160,185
Ss box jumps 5x2
Warm up ohp 3x5 45
Ss band pull aparts 3x15
Working ohp 5x5 60
Ss pull up 5x3

Pull ups… I can do about 6-7 in a row on a good day. Using half that as my sets (3) aiming for 10 sets of that week 1. Week 2 will aim for 30 reps in less sets (8-9) and same in week 3.(7-8) next cycle will increase total reps.

I was suppose to lift today but… Sore throat is coming on strong. I have to go to court for work on Thursday and we are getting one of our employees go. This means I now have to cover thier position. I can’t afford to be sick.
So… I am at home nursing this sore throat.
Epsom salt and essential oil bath (if any one cares…I like you young livings thieves oil when I get sick)
Diffuser with thieves oil in it. Placed in what ever room I am in. (Smallest rooms possible. Right now that would be the bathroom with the door shut lol)
Green tea with mint, ginger, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, coconut oil and raw honey to sip on. - before bed I will add whiskey.
Every 2 hours I take a nasty ass shot of the following stuffs:
1 tbsp raw honey (either manuka or ceyenne and garlic infused)
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp organic unfiltered apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp whiskey
I call this my nasty ass miracle shot.
3 times a day hottest salt water gargle I can stand for a minimum of 2 mins.
Before bed I will run some lavendar oil on my throat and neck.
1/9 still not feeling good. Through is about the same as yesterday. Left work early to take care of my self.
Itching for the gym but… I have a friend coming over tomorrow, and dinner with my family Friday night. My aunt is flying in tomorrow and wants to see all of us. Looks like I might not make it until Saturday maybe… I work 2 jobs that day so I might not have time.
1/14 hit up a doc. Got laryngitis. Fun… Still sitting it out… Gonna need a week to work back into the gym when I get better. Will probably start the five and dime cycle over again since I got sick 1 week after starting…
Good news instacart is great when you are sick. Ordered my shopping and didn’t have to go any where. I now have some fantastic miso chicken soup.
