Contest: Are You a Grip God?

Oh so tempting!

Admin, I sent you a PM with a link…

I haven’t even closed my CoC #2 yet. Surely this HG400 is for two hands, right?!!!

I read about that HG500 when Gunter had a shot at it. They had heard he was a nice guy and used it as a way to meet him. Then they damn near had convulsions when he almost mashed it with his “weak” hand. They gave it to a couple of other pro BB’s who didn’t make a dent in it.

whoa, i didn’t know clay edgin was here. a grip badass…

Am a captain of crush (#3) via ironmind mash monster level 2 from gripboard and can get tape of the feat no prob.

Hey Guys,
The HG400 isn’t like any other heavy-duty gripper on the market or like our regular HeavyGrips as it has 1" thick diameter handles and the handles are longer than the handles of traditional grippers which allows for more leverage so that it is possible for athletes with a very, very strong grip to close it. This bad-boy also weighs in at a whopping 2.2lbs!
There have been roughly 10 athletes that have closed it with Norway’s Svend Karlsen closing it just last weekend(but couldn’t do the HG500 which still has the $500 bounty.) Clay Edgin, who has wrote some excellent gripper training articles at Handgripper training- hand gripper, grippers, hand strength, sports, training, actually does ‘no-set’ reps with the HG400!(He also rolls frying pans, tears decks of cards and phone books!)

The 10 HG400’s that we sent T-Nation for this contest are part of only 400 Limited Edition individually laser-etched HG400’s that were produced with only roughly 250 in North America.

Best of luck!!

Done weeks and weeks ago. I must be one of the 10 (I was second). I’m also a Captain of Crush (Steve Gardener) and a member of the gripboard

Getting interesting now!

Would T-Nation give out multiple prize packages if more than one person closes it?

You bet!

I’m up for a challenge. I compete in strongman and training grip events is my favorite. Thick bars, grippers, Rolling Thunder, you name it.

If you send me one, I’ll close it.

I can also get video, pics, or whatever other proof you need.

I’d like to try it,video is no problem

dave morton

hhhmmm…as cool as a competition we all know this is. I think we need to include the ladies somehow. U know, crush something b/w their size, or see how many walnuts they can crack w/ their well-developed glutes in 10 mins. Video tape evidence will be required.

Don’t let that Morton guy get his hands on it. It will come back smelling like hot dogs and Miller Lite!!!

Oh Great! Time to turn the car around.
And I was making great time too.

Ok, under further consideration, I have decided that I don’t want to be kicked in the balls, and I REALLY don’t want my girlfriend giving anyone other than me a blowjob. So there.[/quote]

Haha, my grip ain’t great but I’m sure you’d all get a kick out of watching a video of me trying to close it.

My buddy and I enjoy grip training, we would like to give this a go. We work with the CoC grippers, 2.5" dumbell handles, nail bending, rolling thunder, blob lifting, etc. Having another gripper to play with would be great, especially if this falls inbetween the #3 and #4 CoC grippers.

Regards,

Sensless

Guys, you better have at least two prize packages ready. I suspect Big Dave and Big Shane are going make mincemeat out of this gripper. Both will be vying for the top spot in the world as the top GripBoard Mash Monster. So is Clay, but he’s not in this contest.

holy jebus…

haha, what happened is that there was a prize offered for what a handful of us have done casually already, so now you have all the grip freaks coming out of the woodwork to get a prize.

i’ll give it a shot.
p.s. Does it count if we jump off our house and land on it? cause that will be the only way i get it done!
