I just moved up to connecticut near East Hartford for a few months. I have been working out at a local YMCA, where we either get middle aged women who sit on the beches for their one armed fuck me (no thanks) rows for hours on ends, or teenagers who are trying to wrench their backs out curling the 30 lb dbs.
Are there any good gyms here to check out? Does anyone lift around here? Can I jump in on anyone’s group?
A buddy and I found a GREAT place - the basement/dungeon of a regular ol’ gym off Main Street.

I left Gainesville over a year ago. I think you got the only job in the area that would allow you to buy an S2000. I’m based down in South Florida now. If you ever want to come down, hit up Climatis, go wake boarding, or just chill, toss me an email. But you gotta wait a couple months since I am up in CT for a little while.
I work out at 2 Gold’s Gyms in the Enfield area. Not amazing, but no one bothers me.

Having been the place of which EC speaks, it’s a cool little set-up. I work out at WOW! in Glastonbury which I like just fine. It’s not great, fairly solid and they are about to bring in a lot of new equipment.
Sicilian, I am on the road on expense accounts, so, I can spend a little extra. I want to go some place that is a little more hardcore. Not that I am all hardcore, but working out with thugged out 15 - 19 year olds gets frustrating. I’d like not to get freakish stares when I deadlift or snatch.
Thanks for the tips guys. Like I said, Eric, I’d love to tag along and work out if I could. I have a feeling the osmotic effect would be huge.
BTW, I saw that you are lifting with Tall guys. I am 6’6", so I would fit right in.

No bro, I was laid off from my last job and recently took a new job and a fat pay cut. Luckily, I can keep the car for now.
