I have always had a problem with understanding “Waving Volume & Intenisty”.

Would someone mind explaining this to me, and how how it can be incorporated on a weekly or month basis?

Much is appreciated.

You are probaby looking too much into it. Waving volume and intensity means exactly what it says it means, that sometimes volume is high and intensity is low, sometimes volume is low and intensity is high, sometimes they are both high (planned over-reaching) and sometimes they are both low (recovery).

Hey J,

Thanks for chiming it.

I think maybe I am looking into it too much. I am not trying to incorporate everything, but I just have been kinda fuzy on this topic.

James Smith states that waving intensity volume and intensity can be done in a given workout, week, or block.

I was wondering how they would look like in each scheme.

Is there a specific way to wave then from week to week?

I’m just after a better understanding of this concept, and your help would be appreciated.

Thanks
