I once ate a plate of pork ribs while watching a video on helping someone suffering from a gaping chest wound as part of a first aid course.

I can’t tell if it means I have a voracious appetite or am just completely desensitized to gore, but either way I’m pretty sure the smell was making my fellow classmates queasy.

Pork ribs are good tho. I had a plate of dry rubbed baby back ribs last night.

I prefer beef ribs honestly, but at the time I was doing a lot of slow cooker cooking.

So you’re telling me if I do enough meth and coke I’ll become an ophthalmologist?

Can’t say I’ve had them, that’ll be a Sunday job, I think.

I am crying from laughing too hard. Someone get me a spoon.

I do really feel for that woman though. I can only imagine opening the door to just nothing but pure anger directed towards me. Part of me feels like he’s been intimidating or maybe even abusing her before, for her to just lay down and do nothing. But either way, it’s still not her fault.

Screw the notion of steroids, or even “roid rage”, that man is obviously unhealthy and unstable, and has been for who knows how long. I’d like to see a study where any given amount of test, or even tren, dbol, or what you have you, just suddenly gives someone the motive to wait until his/her girlfriend came home and attack them with a knife, chair, bare fists, and lit candles. I’ll patiently wait for that study if need be.

I know this thread was oringinally critiqued for the misinformation the media portrays, but that woman is still a living, breathing person, with emotions and feelings, and I just think her safety is a much larger factor than what the irritating media has to say about steroids. That number of 10 million women annually who get assaulted in domestic abuse cases, just kind of irritated me to no end.

Apologies for bringing the “femi-nazi” vibes. Not my intention. I get the feels for all the men in domestic abuse cases who’s stories go completely unnoticed too.

On a completely goofy note, when I first saw the mans picture, I thought, “who the heck let Ronnie from Jersey Shore get his hands on the hard drugs?”.

desoxyn, it’s methamphetamine hydrochloride, it isn’t used commonly anymore, it’s a second line treatment for severe ADHD and obesity I believe, there’s a few other indications for it however the therapeutic window for methamphetamine compared to other amphetamines (when weighing up the benefit-risk ratio is small) I doubt it’s still commonly prescribed however there’s probably a select few occasions.

You’ll never find a study with this type of information because it doesn’t exist, roid rage (if the definition of roid rage is anabolic steroids being the sole factor for a violent outburst or attack) in my opinion doesn’t exist.

She could’ve passed out from shock, however I saw the video in the link, it was very brutal by domestic violence standards, your post doesn’t bring femi-nazi vibes, the thought of someone mercilessly attacking a defenseless individual (whether it be a man attacking a woman, a woman attacking a man, a man attacking a man and whatnot) makes me sick, if you’re going to be a twat and hurt people, the very least you can do is pick fights with people you’re own size (not condoning violence, however in my opinion violence against a defenseless individual who can’t really fight back is far worse than a fair fight), the fact that she wanted to drop the case irritated me, because I can’t see why anyone would want to drop this case unless she had been intimidated by her boyfriend, the defence attorney or it’s one of those sick relationships where the girl keeps coming back to him because she legitimately cares about the sack of shit or she is scared what he will do if she leaves. Both situations also make me angry, not upset, but pissed off. Doesn’t matter if the victim was male or female, that doesn’t make a difference to me, it’s the potential injustice that bothers me

Giving a shit about women and treating them well isn’t being a feminazi. My VERY old fashioned grandparents helped raise me and one of the first rules I can remember is “don’t hit girls ever”. When I asked why: “It’s wrong. Only a weak coward hits women.”

I know. I was being sarcastic. I probably should work on my delivery of sarcastic things to say lol

sweet, merciful christmas.

Have you ever actually done it? Like, I know you have been doing what you do for a while now, but it can’t be that common a procedure…

Can a layperson buy one of those spoons?

They’d be great for scooping out fisheyes, when you steam the whole fish. Also for whenever a whole animal has been roasted/barbecued, and you just wanna get at the eyeballs without tearing the whole head apart.

Oh yeah. The most common indication is a blind, painful eye–often post-trauma, so the eye will have poor cosmesis to boot. It’s actually a fairly common procedure–not cataract-surgery common of course, but still. That said, as I am in an academic practice with colleagues who do Oculoplastics (the subspecialty that performs orbit-based procedures, including enucs), I haven’t done one myself in a while.

I’m sure they’d be happy to sell you one. Might cost more than you’d like to spend, however.

I can’t decide if I’m more queasy about the scooping part or getting that thing into a position to scoop.

They should have a serrated edge on those so that you can just shove it in under the eyelid and sorta roll it around the socket without getting snagged up on all of that connective tissue and stuff.

Ya know, like a melon baller!

Why even worry about serrated edges?

This would be so much more effective:

How you gonna prank someone with a whipped eyeball?

You know, like the sneeze gag, the real fake eyeball in the jello, etc?
