So I am training for Mens Classic competition in September 2026. Currently, on test prop, masteron, tren, and anadrol. Leaning out big time and down to 8% bodyfat at 192 pounds. Cycle ends early January and will PCT until March 1…what would be the next best stack in March to continue focus on my Sept. goal of competing?
Give me the date in September and I will tell you how I would layout my cycles to peak on the day of the show.
How many bodybuilding contests have you competed?
Mid September. Help with details of best stacks leading up to show much appreciated. My first show. I’ll be 60 years old!!
Have you seen many bodybuilding contests? Particularly the Pre-judging>
I think some current pics might be useful for @RT_Nomad to give out his experienced advice.
I will want pics of the compulsory poses to help @rrostine perfect his best look.
Yeah, i was reading 8% @ 192lbs and it doesnt tell me a whole lot of anything on my end. Im sure that holds true to you and most on here.
If your 60 you should not be touching the drugs your taking.
You have good hardness. Obviously, you need more definition to display more muscle detail. That is achieved with diet and dropping all the “wet” AAS at least two weeks out from the show. For your first show you should probably do so about 6 weeks out, so you can easily see the striations developing as you drop fat.
Do you have anyone who can help you with the compulsory poses? The Pre-judging compulsories are critical to accurately grade your physique. Each of your poses should emphasis your strong points and hide your week points. Posing is the artistic aspect of competitive bodybuilding.
Yes! I have hired two coaches that are actually competition coaches and the gym that they have is only for people they sponsor in competitions so I start working with them at their gym in April and teaching me posing is part of the program that I have paid for with them. So they told me they would get me all set. I’m pretty coordinated and I’mpretty familiar with the different poses because I’ve been following bodybuilding forever, but I have never done them myself so I’m excited to get some instruction there.
I do bloodwork regularly every 3 to 4 months and my doctor watches all of my labs closely. I appreciate that information from you and I will continue working alongside my doctor to make sure things are always in safe places. I am not a hard user for sure!
You could use some more size in your legs to create a more symmetrical physique. Can you squat and/or leg press significant weight? I know 9 months isn’t much time to add significant size, but every little bit would help.
Hey buddy. Yes, they are giving me ideas but I also wanted to check with team nation as well. Guys have a lot of great ideas here. Yes, my upper body is so much larger than my legs. I am trying to get them to respond and will keep working on them! They are my primary goal
Not to beat the age thing up again but if you don’t have legs at 60yo your prob not gonna have much luck. Legs are
Typically what goes first when you age and start losing a bit of ability to build muscle.
Why not compete in physique?
Coaches are suggesting men’s classic physique category… Do you think that might be a fit for me?
This seems odd to me. I would think you would enter an Over-40, Over-50, or Over-60 division. Once you are doing the older age group contests, I am surprised that there is a division for both Open and Classic.
If you will be competing against all ages, Men’s Physique is by far your best choice.
Personally with your physique I would do physique as your main category and sign up for over 60 classic.
If your coaches are telling you different I think you have something to think about. I don’t think they are being honest with you.
Look at the pics of last years show. I’ll bet a lot of the same guys will compete again. How do you compare? Where would you fit in?
How many different contest divisions are there in the show?
Did you attend last year’s show?
All good reflection for me. In April we decide on show and category. I trust these guys. They’ve put men and women on stages for years. If I’m not ready they won’t put me on stage. It’d look bad on them too.
