I doubt he will be in Avengers vs X-Men but Captain Marvel is back from the dead and will be there. The series also looks like Storm will be in the X-Men camp, she just joined the Avengers, and Wolverine is going to be on the Avengers side
Do you know why he wouldn’t be?

What about x-23? I know she just joined the Avengers, also.

This whole storyline is centered around the Phoenix Force, right?

Yep with Danny Rand Ironfist becoming the new avatar for the Pheonix, they just had a really huge storyline with Legion in it, as far as X-23 she’s in that big circle of four crossover in Venom(her, red she hulk, venom, and the new female ghost rider).

Spirits of Vengeance

Ghost Rider(the devils left hand) vs The Spectre(God’s left hand)
Damion Hellstorm vs Etrigan the Demon
Phantom Stranger vs Depowered Johnny Blaze

Hawkman vs Connor Mcleaod(highlander)

I’d take the West Coast Avengers over X-men.
Meh… I just want the story and battle to be well thought out, without being cheesy. Otherwise, I really don’t care who wins.

Are you going to follow this story arc, Wol?
If Thor is involved, maybe.

Will I look at the pictures instead of reading the dialogue? Yes

Will Wolverine be in the comic and do some bullshit? Yes.

Aquaman vs. Namor

The Joker vs. Professor Xavier

Ra’s al Ghul vs. The Punisher
Batman- better fighter, smarter, utility belt
Ironman- too much raw power
Surfer- too many different abilities
Green Lantern- much more powerful
Flash-Hulk can’t do anything to him
Dont know enough about Namor or Aquaman to comment.
Xavier-even if he can’t mind control Joker he could shut down his brainwaves
Ra’s-better fighter, smarter
Punisher has gadgets of his own. But I think I’d give it to Batman, too. Although, Punisher has a lot more weapons of the explosive variety than Batman does. That coupled with his willingness to kill the person he’s fighting (I don’t think he’d be trying to kill Batman, though) levels the playing field a bit, so it may go either way.

If there’s prep time, I’d put Batman above Iron Man. He’d use an EMP or a strong magnet or something and immobilize Iron Man. An impromptu fight, Batman can’t compete with the powers of Stark’s suit, he’s only human after all and his utility belt weapons wouldn’t do much to help.

After reading Wiki, it actually sounds like Martian Manhunter and Silver Surfer are pretty similar… I’m not sure who would win, but I’m sure it would be a good fight. My Marvel bias makes me think Silver Surfer and the power cosmic would be stronger than MMH.

You sure Green Lantern is more powerful? Magneto has done some crazy stuff like suspending Asteroid M for example. That can’t be easy… I also think any fight with Magneto depends on the setting. Are they in a place with a lot of metal around? Like a city? Or are they in the middle of the desert? It makes a difference in my opinion.

I’m not sure what Flash would do to beat Hulk, either. His attacks wouldn’t be strong enough to really hurt Hulk. I think that would be a stalemate. “Stupid fast man won’t stand still!!!”

I think Namor is one of the stronger Marvel characters. Like with strength that would be on par with Thor or Abomination. But I think Aquaman is also that strong, but not if he’s out of the water. So I guess it depends on the setting again. Are they in or out of the water?

Prof. X and any other strong telepath pretty much owns most all DC characters.

Don’t know much about Ra’s as Ghul, so I couldn’t comment on that last matchup.
Iron Mans armour is immune to EMPs and magnetism.

Green Lanterns can move faster than light, react quick enough to fight kryptonians, manipulate matter, open wormholes and have sufficient strength to move the moon and 1/3 the earth. They are a class above Magneto.

Flash could vibrate through the Hulks molecules causing him massive damage. Also possess the Infinite mass punch and has been stated by wonder woman to hit harder than Superman. Flash is a horribly overpowered character.
As for Iron Man and Batman, I may have used bad examples, but the point still stands. He’d find some creative way outside of the suits defenses to immobilize Stark or draw him into something he couldn’t get out of. I may be giving too much credit to Batman, but I honestly didn’t think that was possible any more.

I didn’t know Lanterns were THAT powerful, I knew they could do some of that stuff, but not all of it. I also think you’re underestimating Magneto’s capabilities a little. He can form wormholes, augment his strength, seemingly create objects from latent metal floating in the air/stuck in the ground/floating in water, create electromagnetic pulses, his forcefield can protect him from nuclear blasts and allow him safe travel through space, and the extent of the total weight he’s capable of moving hasn’t been specified that I know of. I don’t think it would be as much as a Lantern could move, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it were close. I also still think the setting plays a part, as well. But after some research, I’d give it to Green Lantern, too.

I guess Green Lantern vs Phoenix would be interesting, since GL is more powerful than I thought he was, may be on par to give Phoenix a run for her money. Depending on how much power Phoenix has at the time, since the Phoenix Force itself I’m sure is more powerful than a Lantern would be able to compete with, but the person wielding the force never actually has the capabilities to use the full extent of its power. So it would depend on which Phoenix it is at what point in a specific story arc that would be used.

As far as Flash and Hulk, I’m not convinced that Hulk couldn’t take those tactics that you described (because he’s taken a lot of punishment of different types over the years), but we’re getting into too much speculation about fabricated people and their abilities if we get into that so I’ll concede that Flash would probably win if they fought.

A sneak peek of A v X.

Look, Kev. A few of people have wielded Mjolnir and those who have are worthy. When they pick up the hammer, they’ll possess the power of Thor. Meaning they will be granted the power that he has normally.

Also, Thor has better control of all elements of the storm compared to Ororo. Thunder, lightning, hurricanes, tornadoes, etc.

She’s good, he’s better.

Storm lifted an imitation Mjolnir created by Loki who wanted to control her. Thor is on a whole other level to Storm.

Too many people have weilded Mjolnir

Donald Blake(although he was always Thor anyway)
Eric Masterson
Beta Ray Bill
That future clown I forget his name
and Steve Rogers in Thor 390 one of my favorite issues. Even though Rogers was worthy he didn’t get Thor’s powers because his character is too strong or some such. Believe me I am no X fan I’m just telling you what Marvel will do look at how the writers power up Wolverine now he can heal from a single blood drop whiskey tango foxtrot

You can add to that list Superman and Wonder Woman. The latter was a pretty cool moment. She reached for it to hand to Thor and the artist rendering of his surprised look was priceless

I don’t mind that list. Captain America has what it takes to wield the hammer, so does Beta Ray. And I think Eric Masterson had a Mjolnir clone called Thunderstrike. Can’t remember.

In a crossover no other character would have made sense at the time. DC was number 1 at the time. Marvel only started beating them in sales years later. But even then, there is no character in Marvel that even comes close to the iconic status of Superman, whether the actual sales reflect that or not (even at DC Batman beats him solidly and has more series in his name too). Superman is still the character best known worldwide. Hell, I bet your your grandma knows who he is, as does mine.

And Superman a douchebag? Why? I know they fucked up the character big time over the years but interested in your opinion.

His weaknesses are ignored at convenient times so he can win or survive, he makes cooler and more skilled characters look like shit because he just swoops in and save the day (Green lantern, Wonder woman, Martian Manhunter, Flash), they’ve changed his powers so much over the years that I’m not sure if he can sneeze and blow up a universe or barely jump over a tall building, he manages to beat warriors like Darkseid or Wonder Woman with the fighting skills he learned while working on the farm, he gets his Godlike powers because he has some reaction to the earth son and not because of skill, blessing from mystical source, or training.

Also, if one untrained kid from Krypton is this much of a problem for DC universe, there used to be a whole planet of Kryptonians.

I don’t like him and I never will. DC will always shift the universe so he’ll win just like they shift the universe in Marvel so Wolverine will be in every issue.
