neelydan will have a mrs neelydan in…three more fridays today, actually. yikes.
as such, training and diet have been without real direction for a while now…this is not to say ive been indulging in chocolate covered ants on a regular basis, but with food tastings, more occasions where eating out is necessary, special events (honestly, how many fucking parties are there for a wedding?!?), there have been more cheats than i’m used to.
goodlife is using calipers now to do bodyfat testing (well, they still use impedance, but if you put up a stink they relent and go caliper - which begs the question, why not go caliper to begin with?)
and some pretty little asian girl asked if she could do mine yesterday, and since i am getting married having never realized my goal of sleeping with a japanese girl, i decided to let her poke and prod me as a real weak consolation prize
anyway, i’m told i am around 15% body fat at the moment, at 186 pounds
i’m more or less just following an old hypertrophy template right now until the wedding, after which when i return from the honeymoon i plan on deciding on SOME direction to really go in.
neelydan’s current 1rm’s:
Squat: 335
Bench: 265
Deadlift: 385 (i hit 4 plates when i was doing a lot of deadlifting, apparently this lift goes down quickly if you don’t keep up consistency)
Seated overhead press: 225 (i am particularly proud of this)
I am hoping Thib’s new program is out (a) around the time I return from my honeymoon and (b) is something that will help move me towards choosing a goal. i emailed him yesterday and the response i got seemed to indicate it will.
