mini-fridge bud, get one of those minifridges that has a freezer and a microwave to boot. they usually go for 200-250$ I know a lot of universities sell them but you can sometimes see them on craigslist or ebay.
You don’t need a family refrigerator to store food for just yourself. Add in grocery shopping once a week and you should be able to manage.
I’m where you are at but I can’t afford much in terms of solid food personally so I make do with shakes and whatever I can get o.O hehe.
I just recently started my freshmen year of college and I was wondering if anyone had some tips for a really good mass building stack… I’ve lifted all through middle and high school, but if I was going to use supplements I had to keep them hidden from my parents (they thought creatine would kill me) but now that I’m at college I would like to know what things I should be taking…
I have quite a solid base to work with, I’m 6’3" and I weigh around 250. I have a little more body fat than I would like however… Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
i am also a freshman in college, and i dont have money to buy anything to eat except ramen noodles and spaghetti and meatballs, i just try to eat what i can and eat a lot because i have a rediculously fast metabolism, the biggest problem for me is the mental aspect of lifting here at college, i hate lifting here,
back home i was in a gym with powerlifters everywhere, chalk flying, amonia in the air, LOVED IT and i miss it like crazy, i dont mean to sound like your parent, but i would concentrate on my school first, then my job and then my lifting, but thats just me
I am in a similar situation and also have 3 girl roommates who insist on taking up all of the fridge/freezer space with frozen pizzas and chinese takeout. Just fight for your own equal share of the fridge and freezer. You shouldn’t have to deal with having less space simply because they want more. I have my own minifridge which I keep any overflow groceries in that won’t fit in the fridge, but for the most part I just don’t let them edge me out of food space.
Also, I found that JB’s Gourmet Nutrition book had a lot of really quick, reliable recipes that I can use whenever I’m pressed for time. Also, george foreman grilled chicken breasts thrown on some spinach with some olive oil and balsamic vinaiger with some avocado or nuts in a tupperware container is a great meal to just carry around on campus for whenever you need it.
