Frogs took care of AFA today, 44-10. Utah over BYU 48-24. Hopefully Utah in a BCS bowl. I’m liking the rumor of TCU v. Boise in San Diego. TCU did not travel well there 2 years ago but this time I know I’d make the trip. OU is killing Tech at the half. That makes me happy. Everyone is in a hurry to write off Bama but I say not so fast. Florida has been going crazy on everybody but they’ve yet to play the game on the field. GO FROGS! ROLL TIDE!
Hmmmmm…
Didn’t expect this at all.
Rainjack, did you get my $5?
Took OU -6.5.
It was a relaxing evening;)
Well, we answered a few questions tonight. Mainly, if the Gators can get past Alabama, they’re the National Champions.
I do think, though, play this game 10 times, 5 in each stadium, Texas Tech wins 6 of them. Too bad they only get one shot this year.
Boomer Frikin Sooner. If TT beats Baylor next week, TX beats A&M and OU beats OSU, it means we have a three way tie. Highest ranking BCS team moves on and that quite possibly could be OU.

Are you serious dude? They got DEMOLISHED. Did you watch the game?
Last time I checked home field wasn’t worth 40 points.
I’m happy because Utah beat the Zoobies. I really hate those arrogant bastards.

While you wouldn’t find this funny, if Texas wins, TTU wins, and Oklahoma loses to OSU (a game that is always close), TTU will win the Big 12 South. Then whoever makes it out of there will have to get by Missouri, who could throw a huge wrench in everything by winning the Big 12 championship game.
That was an ass whoopin’.
I’m glad I hired midgets and strippers for the party last night - as most everyone invited over stopped watching the game at half-time.
Tech never showed up.
Hats off to the sooners.

looked like OU just bent them over their knee’s and went to town with a belt. What scares me about OU is they haven’t scored less than 35 in a game the ENTIRE season. And that defense of theirs SHUT DOWN the entire TT offense. Very impressive.

OU’s Defense finally decided to show up and play a game. I have a black OU hat that I wear after we loss. I wore it after texas, I wore it after kansas, kansas state, and
texas a&m. The reason I wore it after the games we won is because I decided to wear that damned hat after every game the defense didn’t play.
I’m not wearing that fucking hat today. Let’s keep it that way!
Unfortunately for TT the only way they have a chance at getting into the Big-12 championship game is if OU does loss to OSU next week. They don’t get the respect that they deserve. I have a lot of respect for Mike Leach and what he has been doing for TT the past few years. That man knows how to build an offense. I just think Stoops knows his system too well.
Bring on the pokes.
haha, Oklahoma jumped Texas in the USA Today and AP polls. It’s gotta suck to be looking up to the team you beat…by 10…on a neutral field. I feel real bad for Texas now.
I also see the transitive property doesn’t apply to football. PSU hammered the Oregon St. team that beat USC, but USC is still ranked higher than PSU. Fantastic.

OU (and it looks like USC) is benefiting from the “first team that lost” theory. I have a hard time feeling bad for texas, but it does suck for them none-the-less. The seasons not over yet though…
OU had a great win last night, but they better be ready for Oklahoma State next week, you know OSU will be ready to play this weekend especially with the bye week yesterday. If I remember right this game is in Stillwater which could make things interesting.
Now OU has the target back on their backs, how will they respond? Gonna be a good game to watch, lotta good games this weekend
Last two games of the season are always interesting. You know SOMEONE will lose who shouldn’t.

Yep,OSU Cowboys next week is definitely not a walk in the park.
And the fact that Alabama and Florida are 1 and 2 respectively adds to the drama come SEC Championship time.
In speaking of the Big XII champs, Stoops put it so eloquently. If we end up with a three-way tie he said, everyone talks about Texas beating OU and so TX should automatically get a shot at Big XII south. If you apply that same rule then why would TX tech not make it with their win over TX?
Also, if you say Florida should make it to the BCS champs because they’ve been playing so well as of late and only has one loss, hasn’t OU been doing the same thing since their TX loss? If you’re gonna apply a rule then apply the rule. You can’t pick and choose who it applies to.

But isn’t that exactly how the BCS works?

You mean the way it doesn’t work? There’s always someone left out who shouldn’t be. Oftentimes, coaches give heavier points to SEC just because they’re SEC. OU could potentially not make the Big 12 championships, but still have enough BCS points to make the national champs.
That could lead to TX and OU playing for for the BCS champs, albeit a remote chance. Whacky system! We need a playoff system more than ever, as all of us would agree with.

I know, I was just joking. Sad thing is is that the BCS is going to be around for a long time. There’s just too much money invested in the bowls, and the BCS committee is a compilation of some of the more powerful football heads in the country.
Oh well, the BCS has worked out well for my Gators in the past few years, let’s hope we can do it again.
