Like RJ said, ACC just HAPPENS to be lucky enough to have FSU in it.

However, PAC-10 has a legendary team in USC and teams who come and go-oregon, cal, etc.

The ACC has Miami and FSU-both legendary, of which at least FSU is on the come back.

And then teams that also come and go as well- VaTech, Clemson, Boston College.

To claim pac-10 is top to bottom better than the ACC is silly. They are equal at very worst. [/quote]

HAHA!!! Suck it “legendary” F$U fan! GO JACKETS! Sorry, we finally beat you guys, so I have to take my chance to gloat.

Well, according to ESPN, Fulmer is out at Tennessee after the season, kinda surprising even though they suck this year because they were in the SEC title game last year and Fulmer has a 6 million dollar buyout. Interesting.

If we were talking about the Big-10 in general, I would say you were right, especially this season. But we are talking about Penn State and JoPa.

I think Alabama loses to LSU next week and screws up the BCS picture even more such that you have Tech and Penn State as the only undefeated teams left.

You also have Utah and Boise State undefeated, but they are WAC and MWC teams. Utah is facing TCU this week…who is playing damn good this year as well. We’ll have to wait and see…November is going to be a wild month.

The entire top 7 will have to have at least 2 losses before Utah or Boise State get a serious look at the title game.

But I would make the argument that they should get a title shot before USC does.

True. I had actually considered mentioning USC as a “sleeper” team…but I’m so tired of hearing about them. In reality,USC would get a chance before an undefeated Utah or Boise State. But USC has Cal this week also…which could make or break them if Utah or Boise State continues to win.

Somewhat off topic, but how long has there RB,Ian Johnson, been at Boise State?? What is he,a 6th year senior?..lol.

Probably irrelevant to those who drink the BCS cool aid, but I see a huge difference between an undefeated Utah, and an undefeated Boise. If Utah remains undefeated they will have beaten Michigan, TCU, and BYU. Who has Boise beaten? If TCU wins out they’ll have a loss to then #2 OU, and wins over BYU who was in top 10 at time, Utah, in top 10 now, and Air Force, who may have crept to the top 25 by the time we play them.

I’d like to see more than 1 non BCS team, but on killer frogs I mentioned the idea of a play in game between TCU/Utah and Boise, or possibly even Ball State. Play it the same weekend as the conference championships. Just remembered MAC has a con championship, play it the next week if need be. It got mixed reviews, what does the T-Nation think?

Utah beating Michigan doesn’t count as a good win, but if they beat TCU and BYU then they’ll move up in the computers a good bit. I like Boise State, but when your best win is against Oregon that doesn’t help them much. What helps Boise is they have the advantage in the “politics” of the polls because they’ve proven themselves at a higher level than Utah did a few years ago when they beat Pitt 35-7 in a BCS game.

BSU beating OU in arguably one of the top 5 best games ever and is more recent so chances are pollsters who haven’t seen BSU this year will give them the benefit of the doubt, as will the bowl selections for the BCS. Granted we still have all of November left to seperate the men from the boys so we’ll see how it looks at the end of the month.

That’s fine, can’t help a fluke ruining a beautiful comeback.
How’s your QB? Has he contacted VaTech for rehab advice?

Looks like the AP poll has things sitting pretty good. The top ten is Alabama, Texas Tech, Penn St, Florida, Texas, Oklahoma, USC, Okla St, BSU, Utah and TCU comes in a 11. Texas Tech, OU, OSU still have to play each other, so there is going to be two more losses between those three teams. A week ago, I would have said that OSU was playing the most complete football of the three, but after seeing Techs defense against ut, they are looking like a good bet to win the Big 12 south.

Tech will probably handle OSU pretty well since it is a home game for them. The game in Norman is going to be a shootout, which favors Tech and as I’ve previously stated OSU sure loves to whip OU in Stillwater. G. Harrell is finally getting the Heisman credit he deserves after beating Opie and ut.

It looks like the Blackout Game is going to have some white. It snowed overnight, and it is supposed to snow tomorrow, too. Here are some pics on the U of U campus.

As a current Tech student I am extremely stoked. Im sick of being the red headed step child to UT and A&M. We are finally breaking through. Its a great time to be a Red Raider!!!

And a terrible time to be an Aggie.

You guys are having a good season, but you have a lot of tests coming up, so prepared for whatever may happen.

Anyway, I’m going to go ahead and call some games for this weekend to try and stir some discussion.

Week 11

VA Tech over (23) Maryland
(12) TCU over (8) Utah
(11) Ohio State over (24) Northwestern
(20) Georgia Tech over (19) North Carolina
(16) LSU over (1) Alabama (I’m sticking my head out…)
Unfortunately, (3) Penn State over Iowa
(6) Oklahoma over A&M
(22) Florida State over Clemson
(25) West Virginia over Cincinnati (In a close one)
(2) Texas Tech over (9) Oklahoma State - BIG scoring game. (Ok St. are pretenders every single year, though TT technically is, too.)
(5) Florida over Vandy
(7) USC Huge over (21) Cal
and Notre Dame over Boston College

Those are about the only games I really care about. To the untrained eye, it almost looks like it’d be an exciting weekend in the ACC. Too bad it’s all going to be slop. I’m teetering on the edge about TCU, but I just feel they have a more solid team at the moment.

I really have a feeling that LSU is going to play huge because of Saban. I don’t know if it’s enough to bring them past the #1 team in the land, but I certainly hope so.

I can’t wait for tonight’s Utah vs. TCU game. It should be fun and cold.

I didn’t see the game, except for the last 2 seconds.

Was the weather a factor in the scoring, or were the defenses that good?

Sounds like a Big-10 score.

Very defensive game. Utah’s defense forced TCU to give up loss of yards that kept taking them out of FG range…it came back to bite them in the ass.

As Big Boss said, it was a very defensive game. Utah got lucky that TCU’s kicker missed two field goals or things probably would have been different. Also, I think if TCU would have given the ball to Aaron Brown more, they would have been better offensively.

TCU started the game like they were going to dominate Utah. They were executing on offense and defense. Utah’s defense looked like they were afraid to hit anybody in the first quarter but straightened out for the rest of the game.

I am so sick of Utah’s offensive coordinator, Andy Ludwig. I have always thought he was an idiot but am starting to believe the inconsistency in the offense is his fault.

Utah moved the ball down to the fifty yard line or passed it multiple times, but then that jackass would do something stupid. For instance, Utah had a 3rd and 1 in TCU territory.

He has Matt Asiata, a tailback, line up as quarterback to fake a run and throw a deep ball. WTF! Utah would move the ball when they ran their spread offense with a West Coast style. They couldn’t move the ball when they tried to run a spread option.

Utah’s drives were usually killed by trying to run this spread option. And to prove that Ludwig is an idiot, Utah moved the ball well at the end of the game when Brian Johnson was calling plays. If Ludwig called most of them, I want to know why in the hell he can’t do that all of the time.

Overall, I am happy that Utah won but feel bittersweet about the victory because TCU was the better team for 57 of the 60 minutes.

I agree with the offensive coordination. WTF was the fumbleroo that they fumbled for Gods sake. I couldn’t believe how stupid that was, I think they only had a yard or two for first down, Johnson could have just rushed that.

Hopefully the Utes are not over confident in next weeks game against SDSU, should be a sure win and then they take out BYWHo and go undefeated again…What a great end for Johnsons career.

GO UTES!!!

My dream BSC bowl is Utes and Florida.

Yeah, that fumblerooski thing was way stupid. I hope they don’t get too overconfident either. I would say that SDSU wouldn’t have a chance but with the play lately, I am not feeling like it is a guaranteed victory.

Gameday in Tallahasse.

Tainted with sadness though as I always liked a good Bowden bowl.
